The crowd management was zero during the annual jatra of 2019.. The Devasthan committee was nowhere to be seen when people needed their help.. Crowd started gathering in herds instead of queues due to the shabby management by the committee.. People who stood in the queue since 5-6 am had to wait for almost 4 hours to get the Darshan whereas some others who had some people on the inside made way through the back door.. In fact the number of people going inside from the back door was more than double the number of people going in from the front door and those who had been standing in the queue for 3-4 hours.. The temple authorities should do something about the timings of starting the Darshan, 10 o'clock is way too late.. If this continues people may stop going there early in the morning or even on the same day.. They might think it'd be better going next day or later on.. The jatra may not remain as big as it is if they don't start taking care of the devotees who come there specially for the deity.. I've been going there since years now, this year's organisation and management was the worst I've seen there.. There weren't even any policemen or anyone when we reached there, some people parked their cars right on the road and there was nobody...

Sonurli - The Pandharpur of South Konkan 🌼🙏🌼 Shree Devi Mauli temple in Sonurli, Sawantwadi Maharashtra is very famous for Lotangan jatra, which is held every year after the very next day of Kartik pournima. It is a belief that your wish comes true if you pray whole heartedly (Navas) and then put lotangan to Devi as a thank you gesture. Devi is famously known as Mahishasur Mardini. The statue is engraved on a rock and is said to be 300 years old. Source - Tripto
