We visited this beautiful, calm, peaceful and tranquil Laxmi Narayan temple. We had an amazing experience of praying at this temple. You need to bend to enter the innermost place where the God is. Visitors place गाऱ्हाणं (complaint) to the god urging to rid of ailments, evil, bad luck, etc. Normally the priest will do this on your behalf. Note that the priest is not available between 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. People sincerely believe that God Laxmi Narayan helps them to rid of their problems and they narrate their experiences to others. You can buy a prayer thali from shops close to the temple. The prayer thali has coconut, bananas, pooja sticks, crystal sugar, etc. It is customary to offer crystal sugar, coconut, fruits and flowers in prayer. Some part is retained for the God and the remaining is returned to the prayer as प्रसाद. After the prayers you can sit in the गाभारा (the innermost place in front of the God in the temple) and mediate for a while. It is customary to exit the गाभारा walking backwards so that you don't show your back to the God. There is a template office and accommodation for the devotees in the grounds of the temple. You can enjoy the views of Karli river flowing on the side of the temple. The flows into the sea about 40 km from the temple. The temple is a MUST visit place for devotees. It's customary to visit the Mauli temple after visiting the Laxmi Narayan temple which is about a km...
