A ghat with natural beauty of lush green forests and waterfalls flowing down the hills !!! Jul 2024 • Friends The tamhini ghat, over the years, has become one of the favorite places for all nature lovers. A big reason for the same is the winding roads and the abundant lush green carpet of bushes and shrubs, especially during the rainy season, all adding to the region's natural beauty.

This tamhini ghat viewpoint is one of the many located on the route. Still, this one shows the best view of the entire valley and the waterfalls flowing all across the surrounding hills. One prominent waterfall is located straight across from the viewpoint and is one of the biggest I have seen. The sheer force of the waterfall can be felt till the viewpoint itself. If the weather is windy, you can also see a part of the waterfall reversing back due to the sheer pressure of wind from the bottom.

Also, though people would generally be focused only on one waterfall, you can see that there are tons or even bigger ones falling down...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tamhini Ghat Waterfall – Nature’s Misty Surprise After a Crazy Trek! 🌧️🌫️🌄 Hi all! Me and my friend visited the Tamhini Ghat Waterfall right after completing the Devkund Waterfall Trek — and honestly, it was like a peaceful reward after that crazy adventure! 😅 The waterfall is located right along the main Ghat road, so there’s no trekking involved. The whole stretch of the Tamhini Ghat Road was covered in mist and fog, which made the entire drive magical. 🌫️✨ It felt like we were in a movie scene! We stopped our car on the roadside, like many others — lots of vehicles were pulled over by visitors enjoying the view and fresh air. The atmosphere was so cool, misty, and peaceful that for a moment, we forgot all about our exhausting trek to Devkund! 😌 We spent around 30 minutes here, enjoying the waterfall, the fresh breeze, and taking in the foggy scenery. It’s a great place to stop, breathe, and soak in nature if you're passing through. After this quick refresh, we headed straight to Mahabaleshwar Temple, and reached there at almost 11 PM. Quick Notes: No trekking required — it’s roadside! 🚗 Best visited during monsoon or in foggy weather. Great for a peaceful break during long drives. Perfect photo spot and chill moment on the go. Highly recommended for a scenic stop if you're traveling through the area!

Beautiful place, full of natural beauty. Amazing place with many scenic spots and several waterfalls. Best time to visit is during the monsoons. Go well prepared as it rains every now and then, and pretty heavily at times. No medical stores nearby so ensure you carry first aid and any required meds. There are no washrooms or changing rooms, unless you are staying at a resort or you visit one of the few restaurants/resorts. Few places can get very crowded as well. Also, many bikers so beware especially as drunk drivers are not so uncommon and there is really no police or traffic police presence for miles. Further, no internet and very little mobile network. Hope this helps in proper planning and a joyous visit to this nature wonderland. PS: Please do not throw your trash in open, carry a trash bag and dispose of it in a dustbin properly once you are back in the city. This will help a lot in maintaining the tranquility of this place.
