Read moreVandri Lake is an underrated gem tucked away near Mumbai, and honestly, it’s one of the best spots I’ve been to for a peaceful getaway with friends. Surrounded by lush greenery and calm water, the entire place gives off that "monsoon heaven" vibe – especially if you visit between June to August.
The drive to the lake is pretty scenic, and the moment you reach, it feels like time just slows down. The best part? It's not overly crowded like other touristy spots, so you can actually hear the sound of the water and birds. Perfect spot to sit back, chill, and just let nature do its magic.
I went with a group of close friends and we ended up spending the whole afternoon just enjoying the view, talking, and clicking photos – and every picture looked like a postcard. The energy of the place is calm, yet refreshing. No loud chaos, just good conversations and better views.
It’s a great place for a quick one-day trip or even a spontaneous bike ride plan. Just make sure to carry your own food and water because there aren’t many stalls around. Oh, and please – don’t litter. Let’s keep this beautiful place clean.
Highly recommend Vandri Lake if you're craving that “out of city but close to nature” kind of escape. Trust me, the vibe hits...

Location : Available on Google Maps
Place : Must visit place in MH, best for Sunday Rides/Drive, 1 day picnic, Natural beauty of the lake, greenery & mountains.
Best time to visit : Winters or Rains, Early morning to experience the sunrise, avoid going in late evenings.
Food & Drinks : Carry your own snacks & water while travelling here & please do not litter the place, always use a trash bin or carry a waste bag along.
Word Of Caution : This area is situated within a village, though the villagers are quiet helpful, do not mess around or argue with them (Adivasi Tribes) as you could get into some serious trouble. Do not litter the place. Carry all your vehicle documents, wear a helmet if riding or wear a seatbelt if driving as the cops near the toll plaza tend to stop you on your way back from Vandri lake, especially on weekends. Maintain discipline at all times, enjoy the natural scenes & beauty of nature & click pictures & make some...
