Nestled in the serene Durtlang Hills near Aizawl, KV Paradise is a place that leaves visitors in awe, not just for its breathtaking location but for the moving story it holds. Known as the “Mizo Taj Mahal,” this three-story mausoleum was built by Khawlhring Varte in memory of his beloved wife, Rosangpuii Varte, who tragically passed away in 2001.
The structure is a harmonious blend of modern and traditional Mizo architecture. Inside, visitors can explore a gallery filled with photographs, belongings, and heartfelt inscriptions that tell the story of Rosangpuii’s life. The ambiance is both peaceful and emotionally stirring, making it a unique experience compared to typical tourist spots.
What makes KV Paradise special is its story of undying love and dedication. It’s more than just a building; it’s a living memory, an expression of a husband’s grief turned into an eternal tribute.
The location itself is stunning, offering panoramic views of the rolling hills and lush greenery of Mizoram. It’s an ideal spot for those seeking tranquility and inspiration.

The fountain is no longer functioning and looks like septic water for mosquitoes, some windows have cracked and the structures have their pieces missing. There's not much to see here especially with the fountain being broken. The road leading to the memorial is extremely bad and rough. One also needs to pay 30 rupees just to get inside. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want to be amazed but the view is nice and the photos, clothes and shoes are quite...
