Thenzawl Vety. Dilpui — Attraction in Mizoram

Just a gem of a place. Peaceful and quiet, with adventure activities like Zip-lining, Horse Riding, boating to name a few People visit this place from far places and certainly it does not disappoint. Also, It was slightly hard to communicate with the workers there who were looking after the adventure activity of Zip-lining as he could not understand English. But there always a universal language called hand signs. Wanted to do horse riding but was quite late when we had reached and they had already closed it. Better luck next time! There is beautiful Vety Guest House (pics attached) nearby where the room rents start from 1k for Non-AC rooms to 1500 AC one's when I had visited in Novemeber, 2023. The Veterinary doctor on duty was really helpful and a close friend of our accompanying scientist Dr. Achuana. There is ample amount of place to have a picnic, go for walks. The main road leading to the this place will test your cars suspension. Mizoram is a gem of a place and awaits for the world to discover its beauty. We visited Dilpui Lake, located within the AH & Vety Farm, Thenzawl. The farm houses very large horses, some standing over 7 feet tall, which was truly an impressive sight. A well-maintained separate stable is provided for the horses.

The farm offers horse riding, but it is available only up to 2 PM. Unfortunately, since we reached around 4 PM, we could not experience the horse riding.

The approach road towards the lake was quite muddy and slushy, making walking a bit difficult. However, the lake itself is very peaceful and surrounded by beautiful greenery, offering a relaxing environment.

Overall, it is a nice place to visit in Thenzawl. Due to the limited horse riding hours and the slushy access to the lake, we are giving it a 4 out of 5 rating. With slight improvements in access and timing flexibility, it could easily...

The lake was beautiful, the surrounding park has boating, zip lining, horse riding and playground equipment like swings, slides etc. The entry price is INR 50 per adult. THE prices are moderate but good for a visit with family to relax and enjoy the activities. It is a small lake and you can enjoy it fully within an hour. It is at a decent distance from Thenzawl main street and is definitely worth a visit if you ever go towards Thenzawl or Vantawng falls, But the staff at the reception can not speak anything except Mizo language so communication barrier will be there.
