Ambazari Biodiversity Park.अंबाझरी बीओडीव्हर्सिटी पार्क After "Little Wood" Metro Park, Ambazari Biodiversity Park is another gift to "Birders" of Nagpur and Nagpurians.Unlike Little Wood where extensive tree plantations have been done, Ambazari Biodiversity Park is mostly grass land with natural forest trees.Ambazari Biodiversity Park is located on road going towards Wadi from Hingna Trijunction.Entry fees is Rs 10/-. Parking charges are Rs 30/-. For those who do not want to walk there are E rickshaws . Charges are Rs 300/- for a tour of the park. Duration was not specified but can be taken as an hour. One can refresh themselves after a satisfying walk with Tea, Coffee and snacks at restaurant shack located near ticket counter.We started in E rickshaw. Our driver Sunil was accommodating and willing to stop whenever we spotted some interesting bird. Left the rickshaw half way, near the lake and enjoyed the walk along the lake shore. Feast of water birds. Water hens, Painted stork, Cormorants(in hundreds) and many more.Walk ways are not paved but are OK for nice long/ medium and small walks. For the pleasure of birders and nature lovers plenty of facilities are provided For example:Bird watching points ave been made at regular intervals through out the Park with benches and seats under natural shade of a nice tree. Watch towers are also construed at many places. Plenty of blinds at various places in the park and all along the lake shore have been constructed so that bird activity can be observed without alarming them.Must see place for birders and nature lovers. Read moreJust 13 km from the city centre, Ambazari Biodiversity Park is a protected forest area consisting majorly of grasslands and wetlands. Over 200 species of birds have been reported here along with wide variety of insects, reptiles and butterflies. In winter season hundreds of species of migratory birds from North come and reside in the park. Some wild animals including leopards, wild boars, spotted dears, pangolins, hares, and wild cats have also been spotted.
This park is located on the backwaters of Ambazari Lake and along with the Gorewada Lake & Forest prove as lungs of the city. It is a birder's paradise and many species of birds can be easily sighted along the nature trail. The nature trail for the tourists is about 3.5 km one way and can be done by walking or by cycling (self or hired from the gate).
Best time to visit the park is early morning as soon as park opens when activity of birds and animals is highest. Also, the rush is less and one can peacefully enjoy sounds and views in nature's lap.

Well, if want to take a walk in nature OR if you have a bicycle and need a good track OR you are a bird watcher OR a photographer need few good shots of nature OR you have a family who needs a good time to spend with each other OR a great gang who would like have a place to have a gag... Then this is that soothing bliss you are looking for. Entry fee is nominal 10 Rs and they also have bicycles on rent but currently they are under repair. You can take your own bicycle if you have one. You will see there are few watch tower for sight seeing from where we have seen peacocks dancing with open feathers. At reasonable distance of pathway they have placed sitting area under the shed of the tree where we have seen different colours of butterflies.
