Although scarcely populated, it's not a very clean beach. Garbage is dumped on the road adjoining the beach where you can find stray animals rummaging through the garbage for food. The reason for this is that there is no authority monitoring the beach because of which it has unrestricted access for everybody. Apart from the untidyness, everything about the beach is great. There are not much people and there are trees all along the beach. Also the place has not been commercialised too much unlike places like Kashid and Alibaug. The drawback is that there are no fun activities available on the beach (such as para-sailing, quad bike, jet ski, banana ride etc). The beach is hidden behind a thick row of trees so it is not very visible from the main road. But ask any local for directions, and they will easily guide you. Used to spend all my summer vacations with cousins in Nandgaon during school days, going for a pre-bath ocean swim here was a routine during those days.. Beautiful memories of clean beach, plenty of soft white sand..
