Read moreFirstly remember that you can't see actual Dam view from this minar. You have to go Jawahar Minar to see real view of gates of Hirakud Dam. Gandhi Minar is a good place to explore the beauty of nature and watching the beauty of Hirakud Dam.
There is no entry fees. You have to book ropeway there when u reached. Price is around Rs. 90 for bothway ride. You have to wait around 30 minutes to 60 minutes for your turn. It's can change in peak hours. Ropeway close time is 4.30 PM.
Food and water facilities also available. Don't forget to bring some foods. At the top of Gandhi Minar there is a food shop. You can eat ice-cream, snacks, cold drinks.
There is a beautiful garden/park at Gandhi Minar. The entry fee is Rs. 5 . Autos and Buses are available to reach Gandhi Minar from Ainthapali Square.
The views from Gandhi Minar is just mesmerizing. To reach the top you have to take ticket. Price of ticket is Rs. 5. You can go by walk from the start of minar if you don't want to go by ropeway.
However I would suggest to experience the ropeway as it will give a dynamic experience. The top of the Minar rotates thus enabling everyone to get a 360 degree view. This is fascinating and thrilling at the same time. I would highly suggest you to visit this place.
The entry time is 8 AM and Closing time is 4.30 PM. Don't book anything in advance. You can book everything there because rain is a main factor.
