Our school had already announced that we were going to see the KHASADA WATERFALL . We were elated and were wondering how thrilling, and exciting this experience would be. We are all bath there....this is so amazing moments...We had heard and read about it- there was a full chapter in our history book on this place, but now we were about to see it for real. Our principal and teachers had planned for all of us to visit the on a full moon night. We were told that on the full moon night the monument looks even more glamorous and glorious, and it makes for a splendid spectacle. This added even more excitement to the previous announcement. We would have had to stay awake the whole night but so what? For such a wonderful experience, it was not a big deal.We were asked to assemble on a Saturday afternoon at the school campus. We were instructed to carry our packed dinner-boxes and water bottles. We were strictly prohibited from buying any eatables there or littering the Taj Garden’s premises. We were warned against buying the souvenirs from the crafty hawkers. These instructions and warnings were repeated to us over and over again. First by our Principal, then by the respective teachers who were in charge of our groups into which we were divided. We had brought consent from our parents in writing for this trip. From Delhi to Agra, we had to travel by bus, it was around a 5 hours journey. We assembled at the school campus at the given time, and were divided into groups. The teachers took charge of the respective groups, our teacher in charge asked us to stand in a queue, she called out our names from a list that she carried. The items each one of us was carrying were inspected, and then we went ahead to...

Khasada Waterfall: A Secluded Natural Paradise in Gajapati Odisha

Khasada Waterfall is a hidden gem situated in Gajapati district of Odisha. Although less notable for most people, such waterfalls rejuvenate and attract visitors. This picturesque waterfall, draped amidst verdant hills and abundant greenery, provides a tranquil atmosphere for nature lovers.

The waterfall is not very high, but it does and surround wide cascade with a steady flow that will create a shallow pool on its base. This makes it great for a quick swim or just lying down on the rocks next to the water. The roar of the water combined with the peace of the place makes it place for one of the weekend trips.

The best part of Khasada has to be with respect to its ease of reach. The journey to the waterfall provides scenic views of the countryside without having to climb for ages to reach the waterfall making it family, old age and kid friendly. There are also many plants and animals in the woods that surround the area creating a very adventurous environment for people who love nature.

Key Highlights:

Best Time to Visit: Khasada looks fabulous almost all year round but when it rains especially between July and September, it is the best season to visit. The volume of water on the waterfall and crop periphery increase making it more enjoyable.

Unsafe for kids: Though curious children will certainly like it quite a bit, care must be taken when exploring the area around the waterfall because all indications are that they bear greater risks...

Khasada water is such a magnificent place to visit that it's beauty can't be expanded completely in words. But still we can have a idea about it. It is located in Gajapati district, Odisha, India. It is one of the best place for picnic in Odisha especially during winter season. That's because the the morning fog on mountain makes this place even more and more beautiful! Although the temperature here drops significantly as compared to Bhubaneswar, Capital of Odisha due to its location. It comes under eastern ghat mountain range. You can take bath here on water coming from the waterfall and enjoy your bath there. Truly it will be a ln unique experience which will be remain in your heart for lifetime! You can take selfies in the waterfall you can hang around on the mountains nearby and will definitely get an amezing view of nature from those mountain top.

Although there are some hurdles are there to reach Khasada Waterfall, like the road condition is good but the last 5 KM road is just worst! The road is too narrow and there is no proper way that two big vehicles (like busses) can cross each other. So your vehicle can stuck in that single lane narrow road for hours. Apart from that all other things are good. As from my personal experience I will rate this place 5 out of 5 for picnic in Odisha as the view and waterfall is just beautiful! It is a memory...
