Pithrody Udyavar Beach: Surreal Backwaters & Ocean Drive! When in Udupi, Pithrody Udyavar Beach is a must-visit, not just for the beach itself, but for the surreal drive alongside it. Experience backwaters on one side and the ocean on the other – truly unique! The beach is calm and very less crowded, perfect for a quiet sunset or a long walk. Note: it's not ideal for playing in the water as it deepens quickly. Its specialty lies in the large stones separating the areas, likely to reduce wave impact. Very limited shops, so carry essentials if staying long. People often come to the stone path's end...

The beach is a narrow stretch of land between the river and the sea, and that's the beauty of the beach. Best seen if you drive your own vehicle, than hire one (frequent stops and a slow drive required). If you drive from Kapu and chart a route towards Malpe, you can stop here on the way. There are many locations to stop on the way, and you can find places where you have an entire beach to yourself. If you are looking to seat yourself on a beach to see the sunset and do nothing else, this is the spot. However, you will have to carry everything you will need, there is no commercial...

Awesome beach, only few fishermen were around when we went. Many chairs are put to get the view of beach. You can swim (if you dare to), when there are people around you. Don't go to beach alone and don't swim in night times as the waves are so high, and water currents are strong. Don't miss the sunset from here at any cost. After seeing this beach, if you are heading to Udupi, go via Malpe. The road from pithrody beach to Malpe is super awesome with Lake on one side and beach on other side for nearly a km long. Best route to enjoy the...

Probably one of the best beach in the Udupi. This beach is very near to Mattu beach and one can visit both beaches in one go. I visited the beach during early morning hours and the breeze was soothing, atmosphere was awesome one do not want to leave the place. There are big stones on the beach which separates it and creates small - small areas. Speciality of the beach is those stones and that small areas (beaches). Whole area is very clean and less crowded. We just need to take care of the waves and the depth. Make sure not go too much in the water.
