My recent visit to Pondy Ocean Park (POP) during a public holiday left much to be desired. Despite the promise of a fun-filled day at an adventure park, my experience was marred by various shortcomings.
Firstly, upon arrival, it was apparent that the park was not as crowded as expected. While this may seem like a positive aspect, it quickly became apparent that the lack of crowds did not translate to a better experience. Instead, it highlighted the exorbitant prices of the rides. Despite the relatively empty park, the cost of enjoying the attractions was unreasonably high. This left a sour taste in my mouth and significantly detracted from the enjoyment of the day.
Moving on to the dining experience, the restaurant at POP failed to meet even the most basic expectations. I ordered the Veg fried rice and was met with a dish that was not only unappetizing but downright unpleasant. The rice lacked flavor and seemed to be poorly cooked. Additionally, I tried the cauliflower tandoori, which turned out to be a complete disappointment. The cauliflower was incredibly hard and clearly not cooked properly. It was evident that little care was taken in the preparation of the food, and the overall quality was severely lacking.
While the service at the restaurant was relatively good, it was not enough to salvage the overall dining experience. Good service cannot compensate for subpar food, and it was disappointing to see such a lack of attention to detail in this aspect of the park.
In conclusion, my visit to Pondy Ocean Park was far from enjoyable. From the exorbitant prices of the rides to the disappointing dining options, there were several factors that contributed to a subpar experience. I would caution potential visitors to carefully consider their options before choosing to spend their time and money at this...

1st things 1st. There is no specific entry fee. Each game costs a different price. You have to choose the games of your choice and pay for those games at the reception counter itself to gain entry to the premises. The cheapest game available is for 100Rs.
If you are weighing 90+ Kgs, then be prepared; You will not be allowed in any single water game or adventure gaming. That is correct for safety measure POV but bit disappointing. Gun shoot, Archery and Pedal/row boats are the only option you can go with.
ATV bike ride is not available for the day where I went. They told me due to rain, the condition was not good and ATV is cancelled but it was a bright sunny day and there is no rain at all including past few days.
Ferry ride till paradise beach is not available for the day without no reason. Looks like this is a routine.
For Speed motor boat I was provided with an option to wait for some one to join the ride to make it 4 occupancy , or else I should pay additional 50% and can avail a ride for two members which I didn't choose.
The price of the games are subjective; I feel many water games are over priced but the good thing is you can choose your own pack of games to gain entry to the premises. It is not like a theme park where you pay consolidated for all the games.
The restaurant, refreshing café inside the premises have very less items and all items are extremely costly.
Barring all the above disadvantages, it is a good place to spend a whole day with friends, family and kids. The place and the surrounding areas are neat, well maintained and the staffs are so co-operative. Zip liner, Rocket ejector, Sky walk and Jet ski are the prime attraction which provides a thrilling experience. Go for it if the disadvantages listed are not a big...
