Sandunes Paradise Beach - Tourist Spot — Attraction in Puducherry

Paradise Beach Sundune – tucked away in the heart of Pondicherry, it's a bit of a maneuver to get there, but once you brave the less-than-great approach roads, it's a different world.

They've got a spacious open parking for both four and two-wheelers, and while parking is free, the moment you step in, the entry ticket demands its toll. Beyond that gate lies a realm where backwaters meet the expansive sea on the other side.

Here's a cool tidbit – it's a pet-friendly haven and is surprisingly well-kept. There's a steady flow of visitors, drawn in by the allure of water games, jetskis, speedboats, motorboat rides, and of course, the beach itself. Plan for a solid 4 to 6-hour adventure. They've got a restaurant on-site that I didn't get to explore, but what caught my eye were separate washrooms, changing rooms for both men and women, plus showers with fresh water to wash off that sandy ensemble.

If you fancy a bit of luxury, they offer beach benches with a tiny umbrella for a fee. Pro tip: Visit before 11 AM or after 4 PM to escape the scorching heat. While it's overall well-maintained and offers a serene view, the bustling crowd might not make it your go-to if you're in search of pure peace. 🌊🏖️

It's a public beach but you have to pay 30 per person for entry fees . Their are lot of activities here . Water sports like jet ride , Kaya king , Banana ride sofa ride and water games etc fish foot spa is also available. Locker room is available Their. Washroom changing room and bathing rooms are also Their separate for men and women. Live music almost all bollywood and Punjabi songs we enjoy lot. Their are 2 section look like hut one for juice , moctails, samosa,salad,cocunut water, bhel puri etc. And other one where the live music is usually for beer and hard drink, and veg and non veg starters are Their. You can take house ride , camle ride 200 each and book sea side bech with umbrella 100 or 1 hour . You can also purchase clothes from here and towels on rent. Their is a restaurant also you can visit of lunch and dinner alot of options in veg and non veg . Getting to Sandunes Paradise Beach might make you question if Google maps is leading you in the right direction, with a ride that almost makes you think you need an ATV. But once you persevere and reach the spot, you are greeted by good parking and interesting fun activities and the beach, of course. From my experience, If you go post 6pm, they do not charge for an entry fee, but they also tell you that you cannot get into the water; despite this, there are several people who foray into the ocean and have fun. I mean, who wouldn’t enjoy the sea under the cool moonlight?

They have decent changing rooms, wash rooms and a party area of sorts where there is loud music and lots of dancing. There’s also a nice fancy restaurant which we didn’t try as we had dinner waiting for us in Chennai.
