It is a beautiful place and one of the main attractions of the city. It is situated near District administrative complex. It has beautiful gardens, lightings a minar depicting Khanda Sahib. This mukta minar is prominent for its glaring steel cover on concrete body. There is also an open air theatre here. It was built in commemoration of the 300 years of the martyrdom of the Chali Mukte.

A good example of how to waste Public funds. Well constructed park with no maintenance and no cleanliness. Although markfed appointed a contractor for maintenance and cleanliness but contractor seems to be just concerned about their Bill. There is only one person deployed by contractors who is responsible for gardening as well as cleaning and he is simply unable to manage. A place full of dust and rust. Not recommended to visit. Shame on district...
