That is fabulous place. Mean it's around 5000 years old place. Pandavas made this place during their Agyaat vaas in Mahabharata period. This place located around 10km from the Pathankot city. There are around more than 100 steps you need to covered to reach that place and step size is little large as compared to normal steps we found in other places. It's a downward step you need to follow to reach there. About place so there was originally 5 caves they carved for each Pandavas. But now only four is available bez one cave which is the biggest is submerged in water bez water level is high now. There is one main cave that is yudhishthira, in that one shiv temple is there. On the walls of the temple 9 mata shrine Pindi are there along with that bhairav baba statue is also there. You can see the carving on the walls of the caves and these are still alive and beautiful. I forgot to mention that before going to the temple you need to take a dip in the holy water. Yes right it's a cold water but iam sure you will love it. There is seprate bathing area for ladies also. Langer facilities is also available. In morning you will get the tea and rusk breakfast. And after that you will get Daal chol maani it's a Punjabi famous dhaam. Basically rice, channa daal and maani. And also you cn plan for nearby location that is Ranjeet Sagar Dam lake. It's a tourist place with family you can plan for one day outing and lot of activities is there. My own experience was amazing I visited two times there. I hope this review will be helpful for you. It is a Hindu temple containing representations of Ganesha, Brahma, Vishnu, Hanuman, and Parvati. It is considered to be one of the most sacred places around Pathankot. According to legend, the Pandavas stayed in the caves for a night during their exile (Agayatwas), and it is said that some of the caves date to the time of the Mahabharata.
The site is on the way to Shahpurkandi and is situated on the bank of the Ravi River, 22 km from Pathankot City.[1] Situated on a hilltop, Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple contains a white marble Lingam and a copper Yoni. They are surrounded by the idols of Brahma, Vishnu, Paravati, Hanuman and Ganesha.
