This is a very divine and quiet place to visit. It is a Shiv temple in village Nalas of city Rajpura district Patiala, Punjab. This temple has a very old history of 550 years ago regarding the cow Kapila that used to pour all her milk in some shrubs when the cowherd used to take it for pasturing in fields. Later when he got to know about the place where cow poured all its milk he started to dig and found the Shivling, Shivling also had some blood stains as believed that at that time saint Karmagiri ji was in some sort of meditation and got hurt. This incident was then narrated to King of Patiala and he then built this temple and this temple gained its status. During the time of Shivratri it welcomes many devotes from different parts of India and temple also organises a mela (fair) and temple remains crowded but yes otherwise on normal days it is very peaceful and quiet place to visit. It is also believed that lord shiv fulfill all the demands and desire of his devotes who worship him wholeheartedly. I would like to end by very famous saying in context of Nalas:

या शिव नलास में या शिव केलाश में Either Shiva is in Nalas or in Kelash

Tried to provide the most accurate information but this may not be completely true as per various...

It is situated approximately 27km from Ambala near Rajpura in Nalas village of Punjab. I visited here on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivaratri. There were lots of devotees of lord Shiva along with various prashad items like milk, fruits, flowers, dhatura and bel patra etc. This place was crowded and it was difficult to enter main compartment of temple as queue was long enough to check your patience level. There was jhulas and various thela of juice, toys, bhel Poori, popcorns. They were offering bhang milk, pakodas and poori. There was no parking space for cars so we parked our car in a nearby wheat crop field alongside the road. There is Nabha power plant nearby this village. It was my first experience in a punjabi pind. I drank bhang milk but it was not like that I heard before. Overall it was a short trip with fresh air that refreshed my mind and...

This Holy place associated with Lord Shiva is a pious place having peaceful and long lasting effect on visitors soul. Temple has a long history.Tallest Shiva idol at least in punjab, longest Shiva Trishul made of steel. Newly renovated marbled sanctum santoriam ( main area ) , old shivalingams , big bells producing soul cleansing sound. whole invironment is full of serenity. People visit on all week days ,Mondays people come for special darshans. Fair and festival is celebrated on Maha Shivratri . A must visit place for religious minded people and particularly Lord Shiva devotees, who visit Punjab. This is a very well maintained temple by management committee and Mahant ji ( Head priest ) and...

Lord Shiva is considered as the destroyer of the Universe as per the Hindu Mythology. Shiva is one of the most popular gods of the Hindus. God Shiv is worshipped usually in his phallic (Lingam) form. Shiva temple Nalas is situated at a distance of about 10 kilometer in Nalas Village Rajpura. Saying is that this Shiv temple was founded/built by Maharaja of Patiala some 250 years back. Now the temple has given a new look by the devotees. It's a very famous temple of Lord Shiva in this surrounding. A famous saying about this temple is "Lord Shiva ya Nalas mein ya Kailash mein". Your devotion to Lord Shiva brings you at Nalas Shiva Mandir.

Beautiful temple of our Lord shiva. A huge statue of Shiv ji in center of the temple. In this statue they made a big waterfall in Shiv's hair called Ganga. There is big langar hall. Outside of temple many shops are there for shopping toys and Prashad. Inside this temple a historical Shivling placed. This temple is made from big stones and the art of on the walls is soo beautiful. There is a old baba ji sit in side of temple and took a long smadhi. He gives fullmakhane's & fruits as a Prashad. This temple located at Nalas village away 10km from Rajpura city.
