It was a great experience. Such a sacred place where both gurudwara and temple is in front of each other. Devotees from both religions visit here to seeks blessings from shiv parivar and guru sahib ji. As we know that we all have many problems in life related to career or family stuff. Just like this, I also had a tough situation in my life ( can't tell the real reason due to family beliefs) It was too much that I wasn't even able to visit this temple. But I trusted lord shiva and visited this temple , maybe 2 months ago and take a vow there that if my family problem is solved, I will visit again. Maybe, you won't belive but I visited the temple in March and the problem was already solved in April month due to grace of lord kartikeya and lord shiva. एक बार भगवान शिव और मां पार्वती जी ने विचार-विमर्श कर बच्चों की बुद्धि का परीक्षण कर दोनों में से श्रेष्ठ को अपना उत्तराधिकारी बनाने का निर्णय लिया और दोनों को बुलाकर कहा कि जो भी तीनों लोकों का चक्कर लगाकर पहले कैलाश पहुंचेगा, उसे ही वे अपना उत्तराधिकारी बनाएंगे। माता-पिता की आज्ञा पाकर दोनों भाई अपने-अपने वाहनों पर सवार होकर तीनों लोकों का चक्कर लगाने के लिए निकल पड़े। कार्तिक जी, जिन्होंने बाल्यकाल में देवी-देवताओं पर अत्याचार करने वाले ताड़कासुर क्रूर राक्षस का युद्ध में वध कर दिया था अपने वाहन मयूर पर सवार होकर आकाश मार्ग से कुछ ही क्षणों में ही आंखों से ओझल हो गए जबकि गणेश जी अपने वाहन चूहे पर सवार होकर निकले। थोड़ी दूर जाने पर ही गणेश जी की नारद जी से मुलाकात हो गई, जिन्होंने सब कुछ जानते हुए भी अनजान बनकर यात्रा का कारण पूछा तो गणेश जी ने उन्हें माता-पिता की इच्छा से अवगत करवाया जिसे सुनकर नारद जी ने कहा कि भगवान तो स्वयं तीनों लोकों के स्वामी हैं जिनकी परिक्रमा करने से ही तीनों लोकों का भ्रमण हो जाता है। नारद जी की बात सुनकर गणेश जी उसी समय कैलाश पहुंचे और माता-पिता की परिक्रमा कर हाथ जोड़ खड़े हो गए। भगवान शिव ने गणेश जी की बुद्धि से प्रभावित होकर उन्हें अपना उत्तराधिकारी घोषित कर दिया। दूसरी ओर कार्तिक जी जब आकाश मार्ग से इस पवित्र स्थान के ऊपर से जा रहे थे तो नारद जी ने उन्हें कैलाश का समाचार सुनाया जिसे सुनकर कार्तिक जी बहुत दुखी हुए। कार्तिक जी ने उसी समय कैलाश न जाने का प्रण किया और धरती पर उतर कर तपस्या करने लगे जो स्थान आजकल श्री अचलेश्वर महादेव तीर्थ के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है। कार्तिक जी के फैसले की जानकारी नारद जी ने कैलाश पहुंच कर भगवान भोलेनाथ को दी तो स्वयं भगवान शंकर और मां पार्वती अन्य देवी-देवताओं को साथ लेकर कार्तिक जी को मनाने यहां पधारे परन्तु कार्तिक जी ने जब कैलाश न जाकर यही अचल रहने का निर्णय सुनाया तो भगवान शिव ने उन्हें ‘अचलेश्वर महादेव’ का नाम देकर नौंवीं का अधिकारी घोषित कर वरदान दिया कि यहां नौवीं का पर्व मनाया जाएगा जिसमें देवी-देवता पधारा करेंगे और जो भी श्रद्धालु लगातार 40 दिन पवित्र सरोवर में स्नान कर सच्चे मन से पूजा-अर्चना करेगा उसकी हर इच्छा पूर्ण...
