This beautiful temple complex is dedicated to Lord Krishna and offers a peaceful escape for all. Spread over 5 acres, it's famous for a few reasons:

Holy Cows: Govind Godham houses a large Goshala, a place for cows. Here, you can see different breeds of cows and even feed them! It's a great way to connect with nature and learn about these gentle animals.

Free Medical Care: The temple complex has a unique feature – a Gau Hospital that provides free medical care to underprivileged people. This selfless service makes Govind Godham a beacon of hope for those in need.

Festivals & Celebrations: Throughout the year, Govind Godham comes alive with vibrant festivals celebrating Hindu traditions. Immerse yourself in the joyous atmosphere, devotional music, and colorful decorations.

Peaceful Atmosphere: Stepping into Govind Godham is like entering an oasis of calm. The serene environment and beautiful architecture create a sense of peace and tranquility. It's a perfect place to meditate, pray, or simply relax and rejuvenate your mind.

Easy to Reach: Located conveniently on Hambran Road, Govind Godham is easily accessible by public transport or car.

More than a Temple: Govind Godham is more than just a place of worship. It's a community center that promotes kindness, compassion, and care for animals and the underprivileged.

A Must-Visit: If you're seeking a spiritual experience or simply a peaceful escape in Ludhiana, Shri Govind Godham should be on your list. It's a place that will touch your soul and leave you...

Millions of Hindus revere and worship cows. Hinduism is a religion that raises the status of Mother to the level of Goddess. Therefore, the cow is considered a sacred animal, as it provides us life-sustaining milk. The cow is seen as a maternal figure, a caretaker of her people. The cow is a symbol of the divine bounty of the earth.

Lord Krishna, one of the most well-known of the Hindu deities is often depicted playing his flute amongst cows and dancing Gopis (milkmaids). He grew up as a cow herder. Krishna also goes by the names Govinda and Gopala, which literally mean “friend and protector of cows.” It is considered highly auspicious for a true devotee to feed a cow, even before eating breakfast oneself.

Hence, keeping this in mind Govind Godham was established in the year 2000(May) by “Gow Seva Samiti(Regi) “ trust at Partap Singh Wala, Humbran Road, Ludhiana. The Govind Godham is spread in the 5 acres of land and it is biggest “Gaushala” (Cow’s Home) in North India. Here near about 1700 cows are living and trust is providing them all facilities including food, medical and health facilities. Trust takes only injured, non-milking, sick and injured cows here. Govind Godham is the 2nd Gaushala in Ludhiana after 100 years and after this 16 new Gaushala (Cow’s Home) are opened in Punjab and within 4 years it became number one Gaushala of...

There are three spots to visit. Site Krishna Temple Cow Shelter / Gowshala Site approch road is not good. Congested and be careful driving. If, wrongly turned then difficulty in correcting. Not a enjoying approach road. I shall put zero on 1 to 5 star rating for approch. Temple is good. Small Fruit shops, flower shop at the entering gate, very good to see but not pleasent to purchase. Gate to temple good flooring. Geen Grass lawn nicely maintained, but nothing available for kids. Shoes cabinet having top RCC roof, sitting benches are provided for opening / putting shoes. Good for senior citizens and kids. Water tap in open air. During summer in day time very difficult to move from shoe rake to temple. Temple at an height 3 meters. Stairs are OK, but no she'd, which is very necessary for babies / kids/ Senior Citizens. Inside temple front OK but if take parikarma / round, nothing attractive to see. If, photos, site seen will improve. Cow shelter very good. Green Grass cuttings available. Laddos available for cow feeding. Man available to carry cut grass bags. Veterinary facility for cow. Treatment plant and Gober Gas Plant is installed, but not seen using gas. Washroom Gents and Ladies available. Maintenance is good. During Carona hand sanitizer availability, hand washing soap available. One cafe is there for light refreshment. During evening some Reheri stall for Snackes on road side at outer gate. Car parking at...

I recently visited Goving Godham in Ludhiana and it was a truly peaceful and heartwarming experience. The atmosphere is serene, and you can really feel the positive energy as soon as you enter. It's so inspiring to see how well the cows are taken care of — clean surroundings, proper shelter, and lots of love from the caretakers. It’s not just a gaushala, it’s a place where compassion meets devotion. The staff was welcoming and kind, and they took the time to explain the daily routines and how everything works there. I also appreciated how the place promotes sustainability and traditional Indian values. If you're looking for a meaningful and spiritual outing, I’d highly recommend visiting Going Godham.

Very nice religious place and Good place for worship of Cow Mother. Must visit atleast once in our life because this is very nice and very beautiful place. You should go with your whole family members to see that beauty of this Temple. Night look is very Beautiful with colourful light, is looks like a newly married 👰 bride. I visited this place after so long period, I feel very Auspicious place but I missed Darshan of Lord Krishna ,. Because the door of temple closed at 1 P.M., I reached at 2 O'clock, But best time I will visit this temple again in morning time. Jai Krishna
