Dera Baghdarrah Nature Retreat Udaipur is one of its kind Eco-Retreat in Udaipur situated just about 40 minute drive from Udaipur city centre. The resort is located in the forest of Baghdarrah Nature Park which is famous for crocodile sighting. Dera Baghdarrah Nature Retreat Udaipur, a bucolic wildlife camp with luxury, tented accommodations offers a true wildlife experience in the wild forest of Aravali Range. There is a total of five Lake Facing Tents in the camp. All the four cozy tents have a private bathroom and a balcony with views of the lake. A patio with a lake view is offered in each unit. Each tent is set up at a unique location so that you have the best view of the lake and jungle. All the patios are furnished with the colonial campaign furniture and a fine mosquito net to keep you safe from the insects. While you are there you may spot a small natural lake that is lifeline for an abundant aquatic bird life-storks, cormorants, geese, teals, kingfishers, egrets and many more. Some are a permanent resident of Dera while others migrate from as far as Siberia. The nature park is situated in Umarda village, which is quiet far from Udaipur city area. From the main gate of the park a narrow dusty pebble laid road measuring approx 1-2 kms take you to a small clearing where you can park your car. There is a lake having around 40 crocodiles nesteled in the center of the park. A narrow muddy bolsters ridden road runs towards the right side of the lake which takes you to Dera Bagdarah tents ⛺ accommodation hotel. Towards the left side of the park is pal which offers panoramic views of lake and the nature park including the waterfall. In all it can be a good picnic spot for spending a day , but if you are essentially interested in viewing crocodiles then early morning time...

The whole experience was really amazing, starting from the crazy off-road ride that took us to the centre of jungle where our stays were waiting for us.. the next amazing thing was the delicious food and adventurous yet pleasant & comfortable stay.

The hosts welcome you very nicely, and you can hear a lot many nail-biting experiences from them at night, while sitting around the campfire gazing the galaxy above...Loved every bit of the experience.
