It is nearly impossible to resist a trip to a nearby waterfall for people who enjoy jumping into flowing streams or standing beneath the ferocious power of water coming down from above. In the land of the desert, Bhimlat Falls can easily be referred to as an oasis. It is a fantastic weekend retreat because it is situated in Bundi, which is conveniently located 206 miles from Jaipur. The water flowing into the sea-green lake at the base of the fall from a height of 60 metres. Everything in Rajasthan, including the gushing water, is beautiful despite the parched desert landscape.

You must drive through Rajasthan's longest tunnel to reach this magnificent waterfall. There are two waterfalls in Bundi, and one of them is Bhimlat waterfall, although no road chart indicates this. According to legend, tigers formerly strolled through the Bhimlat area, where onlookers might observe them.

Historical Relevance

Bhimlat is situated on Bijolia road in Bundi district of Rajasthan. There is an ancient temple of LORD SHIV. This temple is situated 35 Ft. below the ground and can be reached by stairs. The specialty of this temple is the continuous consecration of Shiva here.

Actually, it is said about this temple that during the Mahabharata period, Pandavas came here during their exile. During this time, to arrange drinking water, Bhima tap his foot on the ground and a stream of water gushed out there. This water stream is still flowing today. For this reason this place is called Bhim Lat. After that temple was established here.

During the rains, waterfalls flow around here, which gives a feeling of beauty. The climate here becomes pleasant during JULY TO SEP. However, there is no Dharamshala or hotel nearby to stay. There is definitely a guesthouse of the forest department.

Overall experience...

Bhimlat waterfall is 35 kms from Bundi and lies in the Bhilwara District of Rajasthan. The place is steadily finding its way up as an attraction around Bundi for its wetlands, canyons, water falls and cave rock paintings. Its interesting to note that Hadoti is a second home for the migratory birds from China, Russia, Ladakh and other European countries. During monsoon the Bhimlat Wetlands is fully submerged in water. The migratory birds are seen both during monsoon and winter. We saw pelicans, storks, drongo, Indian Roller and cranes. A historical temple of god shiva is also here. You can explore a Hidden place called Shikar Wadi which is inside of the river where you can go by trekking follow to the river came from waterfall. Shikarwadi is an Amazingly beautiful place with feel the real beauty of nature and fear of wild animals like Bears, Panthers, Foxes and Vixens...
