Buda Pushkar, a lesser-known gem in Rajasthan, offers a tranquil escape from the bustling main town of Pushkar. Situated just a few kilometers away, Buda Pushkar retains the essence of traditional Rajasthani village life, making it an ideal destination for travelers seeking an authentic cultural experience. Location and Accessibility: Buda Pushkar is easily accessible from Pushkar town, either by a short drive or a leisurely walk. The route itself is scenic, with views of the surrounding Aravalli hills and patches of lush greenery, particularly in the post-monsoon season. Atmosphere: The village exudes a serene atmosphere, far removed from the touristy hustle of Pushkar’s main bazaar. The tranquility is punctuated only by the sounds of village life—cattle bells, the chatter of locals, and the occasional religious chants from nearby temples. This peaceful ambiance is perfect for those looking to unwind and connect with nature. Cultural Experience: Buda Pushkar is rich in culture and tradition. The villagers are warm and hospitable, often inviting visitors to partake in their daily activities, whether it’s a traditional cooking session, farming, or simply sharing stories over a cup of chai. The architecture of the village homes, with their rustic charm and intricate designs, reflects the traditional Rajasthani style. Things to Do: Temple Visits: The village is home to several small temples, each with its own history and significance. The temples here offer a more intimate and spiritual experience compared to the larger temples in Pushkar town. Nature Walks: The surrounding landscapes are ideal for nature walks and hikes. The Aravalli hills provide a picturesque backdrop, especially during sunrise and sunset. Local Cuisine: A visit to Buda Pushkar is incomplete without sampling the local cuisine. Many villagers offer home-cooked meals that highlight the flavors of Rajasthan, including dishes like dal baati churma, gatte ki sabzi, and more. Conclusion: Buda Pushkar is a hidden treasure for those looking to explore Rajasthan beyond the usual tourist spots. Its peaceful environment, rich cultural heritage, and warm hospitality make it a perfect retreat for travelers seeking an off-the-beaten-path experience. Whether you're a culture enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply looking to escape the hustle and bustle, Buda Pushkar offers an authentic and enriching experience.

After visiting Brahmkund in Pushkar, this secluded, yet precious and mythological location, is a must visit to encounter the rich time machine memories. One can witness the prehistoric events floating across closed eyes. The much valued spot has enormous arrangements for managing large crowds of pilgrims during festive events. A smaller pond, surrounded by hills and semi forest area, welcomes you. The expanding dune silt makes the environment quite dreamy. The place has large potential for development for attracting tourists with pure tourism alone in mind as well.

One of the very ancient lake where its believed that Shri Ram had performed the last rites of his father King Dasrath. A nice peaceful and relaxing place with peaceful atmosphere and several small temple of several Gods and Godess are constructed here by red sandstone. Unfortunately, its not well maintained and rarely anyone visits here. You'll see total silence around. Not even villagers or any nearby shops either.

While going to Pushkar from Ajmer, this place is on the left side of the road just short of 3 kms from Pushkar town. It is visible from a distance. Old (Budha) Pushkar is a small lake having religious significance equal to Pushkar but have more serene atmosphere. There are ghats and buildings belonging to various sects of Hindus. This place needs more cleanliness and upkeep. Surely worth a visit and some pics on the...
