I visited Chouth Mata Temple in May 2023, I was only a foreigner here. My Indian friend who grew up in the area bought me to visit the temple. This temple is very beautiful and you will see many devotees doing their ritual on the way up the stairs. You can see they are very happy. Good time to visit is in morning or late afternoon or evening so it is not too hot. The steps going up to the temple is quite far but the area has roof so you won't be too hot. You will see many new wedding couples come here to pray respect. I recommen to visit if you are in the area.

यह शहर राजस्थान के टोंक-सवाई माधोपुर लोकसभा क्षेत्र में आता है एवं इस शहर का विधान सभा क्षेत्र खण्डार लगता है। यहाँ का चौथ माता का मंदिर पूरे राजस्थान में प्रसिद्ध है ! चौथ का बरवाड़ा शहर अरावली पर्वत श़ृंखला की गोद में बसा हुआ मीणा व गुर्जर बाहुल्य क्षेत्र है ! बरवाड़ा के नाम से मशहूर यह छोटा सा शहर संवत 1451 में चौथ माता के नाम पर चौथ का बरवाड़ा के नाम से प्रसिद्ध हो गया जो वर्तमान तक बना हुआ है ! चौथ माता मंदिर के अलावा इस शहर में गुर्जरो का आरिध्य भगवान श्री देवनारायण जी का तथा मीन भगवान का भी भव्य मंदिर है ! वहीं चौथ माता ट्रस्ट धर्मशाला सभी धर्मावलंबियों के लिए ठहरने का महत्वपूर्ण स्थान है। चौथ का बरवाड़ा तहसील में पड़ने वाले बड़े गाँव इस प्रकार है: चौथ का बरवाड़ा, बरवाड़ा क्षेत्र के पास चौरू एवं पचाला जो कि वर्तमान में गाँव बन गए हैं वो प्राचीन काल में घनघौर जंगलों में आदिवासियों के ठहरने के प्रमुख स्थल थे। चौथ माता की प्रथम प्रतिमाका अनुमान चौरू जंगलों के आसपास माना जाता है। एक किंवदंती के अनुसार कहाँ जाता है कि प्राचीन काल में चौरू जंगलों में एक भयानक अग्नि पुंज का प्राक्ट्य हुआ, जिससे दारूद भैरो का विनाश हुआ था। इस प्रतिमा के चमत्कारों को देखकर जंगल के आदिवासियों को प्रतिमा के प्रति लगाव हो गया और उन्होंने अपने कुल के आधार पर चौर माता के नाम से इसकी पूजा करने लगे, बाद मे चौर माता का नाम धीरे धीरे चौरू माता एवं आगे चलकर यही नाम अपभ्रंश होकर चौथ माता हो गया। कहाँ जाता है कि इस माता को सर्वप्रथम चौर अर्थात कंजर जाति के लोगों ने अपनी कुलदेवी के रूप में पूजा था, बाद में आदिवासियों ने भी इसे ही अपनी आराध्या देवी के रूप में माना जो कि जय चोथ माता दी

Divine place to visit...barwada mataji mandir called as chuath Mata mandir..this is located near Sawai Madhopur...holistic place to visit..when you come here you have to step approx 600 staires. Here you will local market. Many people come from long distance to visit here ..they have strong believe that the Mata fulfill their dreams. Chauth mata temple is a temple of hindu godess. The temple is situated on a hill from The Arawali ranges. Whole temple is made of white marble Stone and looks peacemaker. Temple is in a small town named barvada. Hindu people have a big faith for this place. "Chauth mata mela" is a fair, organised in town every year ,is one of the biggest fair of Rajasthan state. The nearest district from town is Sawaimadhopur which is famous for its wildlife as Ranthambhor National park.
