Devsomnath is a Hindu temple of Lord Shiva. It is situated on the banks of river Som and thus called Dev Som Nath. It is as old as 4000 to 5000 year. How ever the Linga(Sculpture) of Lord Shiva is more old than temple.The temple was built by descendants of Pandavas. It is said that the whole temple was built within one night. Some people says that the temple is incomplete since when it was structured, the priest of Linga waken up and thus the builders left it incomplete. There are many articles written on pillars of temple in ancient languages.
The devotees of Shiva from nearby places as well as distant cities come here for worship as they believe that Linga of Lord Shiva here is miraculous. A story is said about it that a long time ago, a cow used to come here and consecrate her milk to Lord Shiva. One day the owner of came to know this and he beated the Linga hence a small pit caused on Linga.
