This beautiful lake as well village was settled by Maharaja Hamer Singh Ji of Udaipur, approximately being 60 kms from Udaipur , and comes under Taladiri Panchayat. Besides Kumbhalgarh is 7 kms from here and Kelwara junction 500 meters ahead of this Lake. There is an ancient Shikhar Mandir of Laxmi Narayan Mandir overlooking the lake which is 800 to 900 years old. The village accommodates 110 houses and farming main occupation. The unique point about the lake is African Cat Fish from Australia, put by a Lake Contractor some 10 to 12 years ago for fishing purposes. But due to religious reasons and villager's protest it couldn't succeed. Since then it became a Fish View Point for tourists. As you come here , friendly villagers welcome you and you can go down the stairs near the bank and feed them with toasts and biscuits available from fish feeding shops, here. Indeed a nice view when all open their mouth to grab a bite/piece. Yet how they all struggle for one morsel can be little disturbing to watch. They are in huge numbers. Also according to a local , even 3-4 crocodiles reside in Lake. But the kids would love the splashes from fish as they quaver for food you throw, and their distinctive mouth openings. Amidst the pandemic , this place offers a good long drive and a site memorable for toddlers to adults. Also you can get to see big bats hanging in huge numbers on a tree beneath...

Amazing experience, u can find lots of fish, few crocodiles... Ducks, birds....when u offer food go a little bit away from crowd u can easily see lots of fish coming towards you... There are thousands of fish in this late jumping here n there. Nice place for photography... Birds standing on one leg to trap their prey You can find beautiful medium sized snail shells too on d sides Alas, people created mess all around with empty packets of chips, biscuits n all... Our ancestors taught us to respect water rivers ponds etc.... To protect them from waste they asked us to worship them so that we don't create mess here... But people are people they don't care about anything except themselves

It's a very beautiful place hidden in mountains... Excellent for photography... And nice local...

One such place is the Fish Point near Kumbhalgarh. The Fish Point is basically a small lake known as Hammeripal lake situated in Taladri village. The Taladri village is in the Kumbhalgarh Tehsil, Rajasamand district. The Hammeripal Lake is famous due to its large number of cat fish. It is a less crowded spot in the village and people often come here to have a look at the fish population. The lake is the home to thousands of African Catfish!! They are present in the lake in a number that might frighten some while some might feel a bit uneasy to watch such a huge number of Catfish accumulating to be fed. But literally, they are a sight not...
