Among many prestigious and well known temples of Shatrunjay, Girnar, Sammet-Shikahar, Pavapuri, Tarangana, Jaisalmer, Laudravpur, Brahmasar, Nakodaji and many more, a legendary name of the "JAHAJ MANDIR" has been studded in golden words in the pages of history.

The Jahaj Mandir at MADAVLA in Jalor district of Rajasthan, is in itself a wonderful creation in the history of Jainism . Built in a Ship's shape the temple stands erect magnificently 55 feet in height with marble (makrana) all over. It is first and the only of its kind in the world. The temple has a great and a very interesting history in it's making.

On the 3rd of Dec. 1985, Acharya Shri Jin KantisagarSuriji, the devotee of the adorned Acharya Shri Jin HarisagarSuriji was in MANDAVLA. He was on his way to Jivana and was amidst his "Chatur-Mas". It was around 12:00 in the noon that he started to feel uneasy at health and soon experienced fever. That very moment he sensed the sun of his life setting in. He summoned his immediate deciple whom we know as our Gurudev Shri Maniprabhsagarji and intimated to him that now the time had arrived for him to take over his role and responsibilities. जहाज मंदिर भारत के राजस्थान के जालौर जिले के मान्डवला गांव में एक जैन मंदिर है। यह मंदिर नाव के आकार में बनाया गया है और इसे संगमरमर से तराश कर बनाया गया है। इस मंदिर की स्थापना 1993 में हुआ था |

जहाज मंदिर जहाज के आकार में बनाया गया है, मकराना संगमरमर से बना यह मंदिर 55 फीट ऊंचा है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि 3 दिसंबर 1985 को, आचार्य श्री जिन कांतिसागर सूरी जी जीवाना की ओर जा रहे थे और अपने चतुर्मास में थे। दोपहर करीब 12:00 बजे उन्हें बेचैनी महसूस होने लगी और जल्द ही बुखार आ गया। उसी क्षण उन्हें अपने जीवन का सूर्य अस्त होने का एहसास हुआ। उन्होंने अपने शिष्य गुरुदेव श्री मणिप्रभसागरजी को बुलाया और उन्हें सूचित किया कि अब उनकी भूमिका और जिम्मेदारियाँ संभालने का समय आ गया है। 4 दिसंबर को सुबह 9 बजकर 16 मिनट पर उनकी आत्मा ने शरीर त्याग दिया। अगले दिन "अग्निसंस्कार" अंतिम संस्कार किया गया। समारोह में हजारों अनुयायी एकत्र हुए। अंतिम संस्कार के दौरान एक बहुत ही अजीब और आश्चर्यजनक घटना घटी। आग की प्रचंड लपटों से आचार्य का दाहिना हाथ बाहर निकलकर झूलने लगा। यह उनके हजारों भक्तों के लिए उनका अंतिम आशीर्वाद था। ।मुख्य मंदिर में सात देवता हैं:शांतिनाथ मूर्ति मूलनायक है तथा मध्य स्थान पर विराजमान है। मूर्ति पंचधातु से बनी है और उस पर सोने की मोटी परत चढ़ाई गई है।श्री आदिनाथजी और श्री वासुपूज्यजी क्रमशः मूलनायक के बायीं और दायीं ओर स्थित हैं।जैसे ही हम आगे बढ़ते हैं दाहिनी ओर हमें महावीर स्वामी जी और सबसे दाहिनी ओर श्री शंखेश्वर पार्श्वनाथ जी मिलते हैं।जहां आदिनाथजी के बाद बाईं ओर श्री सुमतिनाथ और सबसे बाईं ओर श्री स्तंभन पार्श्वनाथ जी हैं।मंदिर के बायीं ओर तीन देवता हैं। यहां श्री अंबिका देवीजी, श्री नाकोडा भैरव और आचार्य श्री कांतिसागरसूरिजी की मूर्तियाँ हैं |मंदिर के दाहिनी ओर सात देवता हैं। यहां हमारे पास श्री काल भैरवजी, श्री जिनकुशल सूरिजी, श्री घंटाकर्ण महावीर, गोरा भैरवजी, श्री जिनदत्त सूरिजी श्री जिनचंद्र सूरिजी और पद्मावती माता की मूर्तियाँ हैं।यहां धर्मशाला एवं भोजनशाला...
