The park was constructed with main objective to conserve the flora & fauna, and preserve the endangered species. The park spreads along 41 hectares of area; a part of the park is built as a zoo which is a re-establishment of old zoo situated in Public Park. Machiya Safari Park accommodates various wild animals viz. species within panthera genes: tigers, lion, and leopard, other species like Indian gazelle, black-buck, axis deer, hyena, fox, wild cats, lizards, monkeys, rabbits, blue bulls, indian wolf etc. The zoo also has a veterinary hospital, where the animals are taken care of.
Machiya Safari Park serves as an interesting place for school kids, there are educational tours held to make students aware of wild animals, endangered species and importance of conservation of wild life.
