A temple of Lord Krishna popularly known as Sanwaliya Seth is located on the Chittorgarh-Udaipur highway in the village Mandafia, Bhadesar Panchayat of Distt: Chittorgarh. It is only 40 km from Chittorgarh. Two other temples of Shri Sanwalia seth is also located in Bhadsoda and Chapar of Chittorgarh district. According to legends in 1840 a cowherd, Bhola Ram Gurjjar of Mandafia village had a dream that four devine idols were buried in the ground under a Banyan tree in the Chapar of Bagund village. In the morning Bhola Ram revealed his dream to the villagers. All of them gone to Bagund village and told residents about the dream. In the mean time dream story also reached nearby village Bhadsoda. The villagers here also reached at Bagund. The residents of all three villages excavated the site as per dream. It comes true. About 10-15 feet below the ground four idols of Lord Krishna were found. As the idols were black, all the villagers present at site hails in rejoice ‘Shri Sanwaliya ji’ one idol was broken during digging and it was placed in the same pit. All other three idols claimed by three villagers. One idol was placed at the site at Bagund, other one goes to Bhadsoda and third one comes to Mandafia which is most popular among three. All the three temples are close to each other with in 5 km approx. With the time information of Sanwaliya ji starts spreading and the devotees coming to villages kept increasing by each passing day. In 1956 a trust was made to construct a big temple to accommodate more devotees. Up to 1991 temple was looked after by management committee and in Dec 1991 the temple was taken over by Rajasthan Government. Presently the grand New Temple is on the line of Gujrat’s Akshar Dham Temple. Devotees believe that all their desires are fulfilled by their visit to Shri Sanwaliya Seth Temple. This temple is also famous for partnership of lord with the devotes. Devotees here pray to Lord to become partner in their business and sometimes in their job.
