In my adventures life I want to share the great experience to visit a fantastic place which is around 150 kms from Jaipur. This is a place with wastes of marble slurry, you can see heaps of marble wastes, and yes I am talking about Dumping Yard Kishangarh. This place is known as mines of snow. Everywhere we can see white heap which look like White snowy place..

I have been there twice in different time slots and weather. The first visit I started late afternoon around at 3:00 PM and reached to this place and it was almost to closed, but I was lucky enough and after some minor formalities of association I finally entered into this place. It was a sunset time so there was not much crowd only few couples were there who came for their pre-wedding shoots. I also captured some of the lovely photographs of setting sun view. Unfortunately I couldn’t spend much time as the marble association does not allow to being there after sunset.

Since my first trip was not as good as expected hence I planned second trip on next coming Sunday. This time I was very well prepared and started my journey early morning at 7:00 AM. Wah !!! This time weather was also with me as Monsoon just started, there was light drizzling. This famous tourist place has wastes of marble slurry, you can see heaps of marble wastes everywhere, the place is no other than Kishangarh Dumping Yard Ajmer. This place is popularly known as the mines of snow. As far as you can see, you will only find a white heap that looks like a White snowy place.

It all started when RICCO and the Kishangarh Marble association were facing the challenge of disposing of the waste marble, so they came up with an idea to store the garbage in a particular piece of land. Later on, the garbage collection was too much as it took the shape of the hill, since the slurry is of white color, it looks like white snow. This place is spread over around 332 bigha land and the cost was somewhere around 2-50 Crore.

The second phase of this dumping yard was completed in 2009 under the Cluster Project which was due to the combined efforts of the State & Central Government. The local Marble association has around 200 tankers that dumped the slurry non-stop. The project was finally completed in the year 2015. During my recent trip to Pushkar, I decided to explore this hidden gem, intrigued by its allure. While I was initially concerned about potential dust in the air, the surroundings were surprisingly clear and refreshing, allowing me to enjoy the experience fully.

However, one aspect that could be improved is the ticketing process. To gain entry, visitors must obtain a free ticket from the marble associate office located approximately 1km away. While the ticket is free, it requires providing Aadhar and car number for registration. Additionally, those planning to use a DSLR might face a nominal charge.

Despite the ticketing process inconvenience, the Kishangarh Snow Yard is undeniably worth the effort. The mesmerizing landscape, coupled with the intertwining of nature and human craftsmanship, left me in awe. I couldn't help but marvel at the beauty and creativity on display.

In conclusion, if you find yourself in Pushkar, I highly recommend visiting the Kishangarh Snow Yard. The management could consider providing tickets on the premises to enhance visitor convenience, but the overall experience is undoubtedly memorable and...

The Kishangarh Dumping Yard is spread over a vast area. If you were to go through pictures of this place then you are likely to be tricked. As the locals call it (Desi Switzerland), you will have no reason to differ from them.

If you were to stand at the center of the dumping yard you will be seeing snow all around you, and lush green trees in the backdrop. There are various small ponds available in the dumping yard, the water stored in them is so crystal clear that one can see the bottom of it. One should definitely try visiting this amazing place.

Activities :- The place is very popular among the local crowd as a perfect spot for taking photos.

Couples who are about to get married also find this place suitable for their pre-wedding shoot. You can visit this place with friends and can spend a few hours here.

Tips for visiting :-

Alcohol is strictly prohibited inside the Kishangarh Dumping Yard.

Try not to enter the ponds that are situated there.

Vehicles are allowed inside the dumping yard, so drive safely.
