Vindhyawasini Mata Temple Salkanpur🛕 is a sacred Siddhpeeth of Vindhyavasni Beejasan Devi 🔱(one of the incarnations of the Hindu goddess “Durga”), located on an 800-foot summit in the village of Salkanpur, near Rehti, India. 🇮🇳

Every year me any family visiting the Maa Vijayasan Devi Temple during Navratri💃🏻, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Perched atop a hill, this temple offers not only spiritual solace but also breathtaking views that make the journey worthwhile. This temple is famous far and wide🛕. Whatever wish the devotees make here, it is fulfilled. This temple is very old and is the center of faith and belief of all the devotees.🙏🏻

•How to reach the Temple:-🛕 To reach the temple, one can go by road🛣️. Apart from this, one can also go to the temple by ropeway🚡. The special thing is that there are 1,451 stairs 🪜 to reach the temple. The distance of the temple from the bottom of the hill is 3,500 feet and the height is 800 feet⛰️. Devotees reach here daily but this number increases during Navratri. Most of the devotees reach the temple on foot by climbing the stairs, chanting the name of the mother.🚩

•The Temple and Surroundings:- ⛰️ Once at the top, you're greeted by the majestic Maa Vijayasan Devi Temple🛕. The architecture is impressive, and the atmosphere is serene. It's a perfect place for meditation and reflection. 🧘🏻‍♂️

The area around the temple is well-developed, with numerous shops offering local handicrafts, souvenirs, and snacks🍿. It's a great spot to pick up something special to remember your visit by or to enjoy some local treats.🛍️

•Maintenance and Management:- 🚧 I was particularly impressed by how well-maintained the temple and its surroundings are. 25 Km from Hoshangabad, 75 from Bhopal, 45 from Itarsi & 150 Km from Indore. Its one of the most popular temple near central Madhya Pradesh. The temple is situated at a height of 800ft. Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan have done a great job of developing this holy site and made it very comfortable for people with old age to visit this place easily. There are 3 ways to reach at this holy place. U may either come by stairs, Ropeway or by Road coming up here. U'll have to climb about 1400 steps or about 4km via road to reach the top. The ropeway is operated between 8:30 to 6pm. It is believed that the mata rani at this place bless women for child. So Women with no child when com to this place print their hands facing down when they come here with a wish and once their wish for baby is fulfilled they again come at this holy place and imprint hand facing up ✋ to show their gratitude to the mata rani. So this place have a great significance in the history and belief of the people.

Beautiful temple renovated under guidance of MP CM Shivraj. Spacious corridor and temple property with enough space for the devotees in the main temple worship building to sit on the floor and enjoy the spritual vibes while chanting slokas and mantras. Temple is located on top of mountain and when coming via rental cabs one can reach the top of the temple ( cab travellers charged extra 235 rs for bring vehicle to top probably coz of extra load imposed on vehicle engine due to steep driving) without needing to walk stairs, so feel motivated to bring along the senior citizen of your family. We reached temple at 7:30 pm and were lucky to attend the evening aarti and darshan. Before temple there are many small shops for buying prasad, I highly recommend you buy prasad from shops closer to the temple area as they are usually struggling to get customers while shop at entry grab all the devotees.
