This lake is known as Samiti Lake and falls on the way from Lamuney to View Point 1 if you are doing the Goechala Trek. Generally people visit View Point 1 for sunrise so they pass this lake during the night therefore it's visible on your way back. The time we went there it was half frozen on 9th April 2021. We were extremely lucky to get clear weather and could see the lake along with the summit with perfect amounts of snow as the groups that came just 3 days before us couldn't even cross Lamuney due to heavy snow storm. Prominence of peaks surrounding the lake creating magical reflection on the surface of crystal clear water. It's a nice lake above 14000 ft height on the way to Goeachala trek . At the time of our trek from Lamunye to Goeachala we crossed it before sunrise on October 2013 . After viewing sunrise from Goeachala view point 1 , we take rest at the bank of Samiti lake on return journey and take our breakfast .
