Tso Lhamo Lake — Attraction in Sikkim

On top of the mountain Himalaya the range is consist of several mountains. However the place situated at India and China border having a majestic view. The place consists very thin layer of Oxygen. Only one can visit the place with a permission from Sikkim home ministry clearance. One has to visit from Sikkim or from Mangan and need to stay at Lachen prior to the visit to Tso Lhamo Lake. As an early morning start (preferably by 4 PM) is required to enjoy the perfect scenic beauty of the route and the place. Only support in the area is army and don't expect anything else there. Road itself is a bit treacherous. If visited by bike, preferred is to check the bike status for going to the top at Gangtok at least if not checked earlier. Once reached at Tso Lhamo Lake, the place and the views are majestic. The feeling is awesome.

However one thing is deeply to be noted that, permit for Tso Lhamo Lake is very hard to get and a strong connection of Army can only fetch the permit for Tso Lhamo Lake. Many people visit Tso Lhamo Lake with a permit till Gurudongmar lake. But that is strongly not recommended as riders or visitors go there with their own risk and considering the tension between India and China, any risk is very much prone to that area. Army assess that and then only give the permit.
