Such a serene drive that you must miss. Vaalparai to adhirappali falls. We took a bit to get ready and go through the forest route. Had we started early in the day we would have hit an opportunity to sink in the beauty of the night drive and bit more of the wild life than what we saw during the day. Some of my friends who are more in to wildlife told me we will spot elephants if we were lucky. But we could only see the fresh outputs on the way 😂🤣. Jokes apart we were able to sight them animals listed below (pics available only for those we could capture, rest were on the run): 1. THE WILD BOAR, 2. BLACK SCORPION (never seen them this big on the middle of the road visible while driving), 3. LION TAILED MONKEY (in abundance), 4. PEACOCKS, 5. THE MALABAR GIANT SQUIRREL, 6. NILGIRI TAHR(wild goats), 7. INDIAN WILD DEER If you are planning to visit and try the day and night drive please do so by car. I wouldn't advise a bike drive in the night. We are planning to head back for a night drive through this place in the near future.

One of the good places to visit is the Valparai Mountain biking. It has a whooping 40 hairpin turns which is extremely amazing for bike rides. Roads are very well maintained. The temperature drops significantly as we climb higher. We can see the mountains reaching the cloud level. That much is the height of those huge mountains. There are a ton of tea plantations and small villages where people live for survival. Beautiful place overall. No wild animals there. Its meant to enjoy the beautiful mountain views and enjoy the chilling wind when you reach cloud level. Must visit place if i would suggest
