A Hidden Gem – Anju Veedu Waterfalls, Kodaikanal

Anju Veedu Waterfalls is undoubtedly one of my all-time favorite spots in Kodaikanal! If you're visiting this beautiful hill station, I highly recommend experiencing this natural wonder at least once in your lifetime.

The waterfalls are surrounded by lush greenery, offering a peaceful and serene atmosphere away from the usual touristy crowds. The water cascades down beautifully, creating a mesmerizing view that truly feels like a slice of paradise. The surrounding area is perfect for a relaxing walk, and the sound of the water is incredibly soothing to the soul.

What makes Anju Veedu Waterfalls so special is not just its beauty but also its accessibility. Though it’s a bit off the beaten path, the journey to reach the falls is an adventure in itself and well worth it. The scenic drive to the falls is filled with breathtaking views, and once you arrive, you’ll be treated to one of the most stunning spots Kodaikanal has to offer.

The area is peaceful, making it a great spot for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone who enjoys the tranquility of nature. Just remember to wear good shoes as the terrain can be a little tricky, but the experience is absolutely worth it!

Definitely make sure to visit Anju Veedu Waterfalls during your trip to Kodaikanal—it's a memory you’ll...

I have NEVER been this frustrated in my life. DO NOT waste your time going to Anju Veedu Waterfall! The experience was absolutely horrendous, and I would give ZERO stars if I could.

First of all, the road leading to the waterfall is an absolute disaster. The entire 4 km stretch is filled with rocks, huge potholes, and deep gashes that made it nearly IMPOSSIBLE to drive. We had to crawl at a snail's pace, praying that our car didn’t get damaged or worse, get stuck in the mess of a road! And to top it off, the road just ends! There’s literally NO more road after a certain point. We drove all that way, thinking we were getting close, only to find that the road just... stops. You can’t go forward, and there's no warning or signage anywhere. Absolutely ridiculous!

My heart was in my throat the whole time, with the car almost tipping over into the hill of water below! Who designed this road? It's an accident waiting to happen, and I’m shocked nobody has gotten seriously hurt already. No clear directions, no warning signs, no help.

I highly recommend staying FAR AWAY from this place. It’s dangerous, poorly maintained, and a waste of time. I’m incredibly disappointed, and honestly, I feel like I deserve a refund for the emotional distress...

Amazing place. Dangerous too. Deaths have happened, last year and last week. Not recommended to swim near the waterfall half of the pond. Entry was free, but then got harassed by the forest guards. Guess a scam is going on set with the driver, driver's car had Michael Jackson's poster, and the name starts with 'S'. Later came to know nobody was posted there from the forest department. The Forest officer didn't give his name or details. Entering forest reserve area fine is Rs.1000 per person. But this seems not to be a reserved area. Just because of election time and death happened two weeks ago. In the end worth the trouble, had a nice time and immersed in hidden gems of Kodaikanal. Please take permissions from forest and tourist department. Can't disclose more information because of the...

Be aware this place is not for everyone! I mean it in all the way. First of all the road is very rough and rocky your car and bike will get damage I'm sure.. we had some issues. Google map will take you to the road dead end. From there you have very hard trekking in the deep forest in middle you need to enter in to the private property where they have boards which say this place need permission to enter. Finding the local guide is big task because everyone goes for the farm work. When we walk in we saw Poisson snakes hiding in the leafs below.. Top view is okay but there are no enough water.. to claim down you don't have the path ... My opinion you can go to Kookal water falls in farm land. Where you can take bath and beautiful view. It can be accessed by everyone... Enjoy your time in right place..

One of the beautiful waterfall. Route is via Private Property. After reaching the falls location. We need to trek down few hundred meters to reach the falls location. We can see the upper view from Top itself. For trekking down, you need any person help from there..because route is little unclear for first time visiting person. If any of your friend already visited, then get their help. Only at few points it's little risky to trek down. Remaining all area there's proper pathway. Maximum try to visit downwards by Trekkking. Very beautiful. We visited before the start of monsoon season. During monsoon or after rainy season, it will be more beautiful for sure. But trekking down will be little difficult and risky during Monsoon season.
