Koppu Konda Perumal Temple is situated over a mountain to the north of Peddanaickenpalayam known as "Koppu Kondan Malai (Mountain)" is a most famous worship centre for people all over the panchayat. One of the ancient temple near by aathur Salem. The story of this temple is nice. Koppu from the old lady fall down on the field when she undergone work in the field. Lord permal uptake her koppu and become koppu konda perumal the temple is located at 2000 m attitude from the sea. Nice treaking experience I got there. But it have more than 2000 steps to claim the mountain. The temple got donation from various kinds of peoples all over tamilnadu. Above the hill amma mandabam is there to provide food for the devotee Had the worst experience from the iyer working in the hill. The history I got from the old man down the hill The iyyar is not respectful and talking roude to the devotee. Some devotees in the hill gave prasatha to me. More devotees (Men and women) visits the temple during Puratasi (Tamil month).During this month majority of the people climb during Friday and Saturday night. Nice to see that kids are enthusiastic to climb the hills. There are ample space for parking the vehicles down the hill. Many Shops exists during Puratasi Tamil Month. People shave their heads down the hill to fulfill their prayers. We need to climb around 2,000 steps to worship the Koppu Konda Perumal at top of the hill. Steps are maintained well to climb the hill. For Fast walkers it's cake walk and for slow walkers they can rest on the sidewalls of the steps to climb the hill.
