Great Place to Enjoy Nature and Spend time with Family. Recommended to Visit in Weekdays.
They are not allowing to go at the Top of the Dam like they allow in Madurai Vaigai Dam.
Lots of Kids rides are available inside. Don't know if it is worth the price they charge.
One Shop is available inside which sell snacks, fish fry, water and juice bottles with reasonably priced. They sell a little higher than MRP but OK when compared to Other DAM parks like Mettur. 500 ML Slice Bottle was charged 45/- while MRP is 42, the same 500 ML Slice Bottle was charged 50/- in Mettur Dam Park.
Toilet available inside at different location around the park is usable and quite clean. Not Bad.
Few less frequency Govt. and private buses from Sathyamangalam goes up to Bhavani Sagar Bus Stand, where you need to (You need to walk around 2KMs from Bavani Sagar Bus Stand to the DAM Park)
Bus Number : - 2B, 16 from Sathyamangalam Bus Stand.
If you want to go directly to the park lots of buses ply between Puliyampatti and Bannari Amman Temple which stops right in front of the Park Gate.
Bus Number :- 1, P1

Read moreBhavani Sagar Dam is a calm and spacious spot ideal for a relaxed outing, especially with family. Entry is very affordable at just ₹5 per person, and there’s enough here to spend an hour or two unwinding in nature.
Right at the entrance, you're greeted by a statue of Goddess Saraswati, which sets a serene tone for the visit. The adjacent park area has various animal-themed statues—like a giraffe, dinosaur, dolphin, butterfly, and elephant—that add a touch of fun, especially for children.
There’s also a large fountain in the center of the park, although it wasn’t working when I visited. Interestingly, many kids and even some adults were enjoying a splash inside it, though it clearly wasn't designed as a swimming pool. That said, it added to the liveliness of the atmosphere.
Boating is available too, which is a great addition for those looking to enjoy sailing in the tiny pond.
Visitors aren’t allowed to access the top of the dam bridge, which was a slight letdown, as it would’ve offered a fantastic view. However, the long, shaded walking paths around the park more than make up for it. It’s a lovely place for a leisurely stroll.
A couple of small shops inside the park sell snacks and hot drinks like tea and coffee—convenient if you plan to linger.
Overall, Bhavani Sagar Dam is a budget-friendly, family-friendly spot with lots of potential. A little more maintenance (especially fixing the fountain) and clearer information for visitors would make it even better. Worth a visit if...
