Bodimettu is a place at the border of Tamil Nadu. I started my journey from Gap Road Munnar, a winding mountain pass that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. As you ascend the road, you'll be surrounded by lush green tea plantations, cascading waterfalls, and pristine forests. The air is crisp and fresh, and the silence is broken only by the chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves.

Bodimettu View Point After a scenic drive of about 43 minutes, you'll reach Bodimettu View Point, a popular tourist spot that offers panoramic views of the Idukki Dam and its reservoir. The dam is one of the largest arch dams in India, and the reservoir is home to a variety of aquatic life, including elephants, tigers, and leopards. From the viewpoint, you can also see the surrounding hills and valleys, which are covered in lush green vegetation. The view is especially stunning during sunrise and sunset, when the sky is ablaze with color. Additional Tips The best time to visit Bodimettu View Point is early morning or late evening, when the crowds are smaller and the light is more favorable.

  • Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing, as the weather can be cool and windy at high altitudes. Bring a camera or smartphone to capture the stunning views.
  • Make sure to not litter the area I hope this description gives you a glimpse of the scenic beauty of the journey from Gap Road Munnar to Bodimettu View Point. It's a truly unforgettable experience that will leave you with lasting memories.

This view point has my heart. On the way from theni to munnar ,we can find this place bodimettu which is actually a hot and humid area, but the view makes us to forget the temperature and stuff.Actually the place is Tamil Nadu , so the road are good than Kerala roads (no offense to Kerala roads) . It's actualy a mind refreshing journery from munthal to munnar. it is just 30 minutes travel from bodimaykanur, and it is the perfect place for picnic and for spending a nice time with mountain views and chill weather ,lot of developments are going to promote this place for tourist who come to visit munnar, Chinnakanal and near by hill & tea gardens. I visited this place three times in the recent 3 years, so I was able to see the differences and developments in this place. This place is an upcoming tourist spot, so it's a must visit place. I visited this place when returning from kodai. So when returning from kodai, it's good to use this way , from theni to...

Bodi Mettu View Point Review Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)

If you’re ever near Theni or heading towards Munnar, Bodi Mettu View Point is a must-stop. The view is absolutely breathtaking — endless rolling hills, lush green valleys, and on a clear day, you can even spot tiny villages nestled between the mountains.

The drive up is scenic, with winding roads and fresh mountain air. There are a few spots along the way where you can pull over for photos, but the actual viewpoint offers a panoramic view that’s hard to beat. It’s peaceful, not too crowded (especially if you go early morning or on a weekday), and perfect for nature lovers or anyone looking to take a break from city life.

There aren’t many shops or facilities around, so it’s a good idea to carry water and snacks. Also, don’t forget your camera — or at least clear up space on your phone. The views are...
