The Shani Bhagavan Temple is situated in a place called Kuchanur near Chinnamanur town in the district of Theni in Tamil Nadu. The temple is in the banks of the river Surabhi. The presiding deity in this temple is Lord Shani. He is one of the Nava Grahas and in English he is called as Saturn. Normally in all the Hindu temples is portrayed along with other planets or as a sub-deity. But here he is the main deity and all Dhoshas related to the Saturn planet are believed to be absolved if prayed in this holy shrine. Visiting the Kuchanoor Sri Saneeswara Baghwan Temple was truly a remarkable experience. From the moment I stepped onto the temple grounds, I was enveloped in a serene atmosphere that filled me with a sense of calm and spirituality "At the Kuchanoor Sri Saneeswara Baghwan Temple, you can take part in some unique traditions. There's a small river where you can have a bath to feel refreshed and renewed. People leave their old clothes by the river, kind of like letting go of the past. What's really interesting is that you can buy iron stuff there. It's believed to bring good luck from Lord Saturn. So, imagine dipping in the river, leaving behind old things, and getting something iron—it's like getting a fresh start and good vibes all around!" I left the temple with a heart full of gratitude and a renewed sense of spiritual connection" Kuchanoor Sri Saneeswara Baghwan Temple is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking spiritual nourishment and a sense of tranquility. Saturdays provide an opportunity to immerse yourself in the temple's divine ambiance and connect with its rich heritage.

Hello DEAR Readers, This is one of the famous Navagraha temple, with lord Shanieshwara as his Suyambu (temple lightened by himself) and believed to be here for centuries. Vedhas says Lord Shani was broke free of Brahmahasta Dhosham. As he's known For providing Justice to every being in their life, there's much crowd throughout the year to pray this diety. As the proverb says There's no best teacher than SHANI, people normally do visit here to pray and importantly people that suffer shani dhosham or 7 1/2 shani come here for special pooja. And this place is known to reduce the effect of those Dhoshas and bad time. The place is located exactly 20 kms from Theni bus stand, and there are frequent buses every 15-20 minutes to and fro. The temple opens at 6 AM generally which is free and peaceful to worship and as time goes crowd starts coming. The remedy materials for dhosham and pooja are available to purchase around this temple. So you don't need to worry. Out of my experience i would say carry out own water bottle and food as this is located in a village. Also there's space for Parking car, though it depends. If there's any special day for lord or pooja or any function. It's very difficult to park. But normal days isn't a issue. Saturday is very special every week, as temple remain open till 3 Pm,later in evening at 6 PM. Visiting here throughout the year is okay, as the village is surrounded by hills and agriculture field you will admire and climate is good considering other cities. For coimbatore people it remains the similar condition. There's a river adjacent to temple, but now it's degraded, no maintenance and poor condition. Unhygiene as there's lot of stagnant water, but winter or monsoon is okay but still unhygiene due to over crowd. There's wash room which was not hygiene earlier but recently a week ago i went and i was shocked it was good and clean. So you don't need to worry. People generally bring their own food, place it for crow and they eat with family within temple premises as there's no high restrictions. Good place to bring children and it's safe and secure place. But bus is the issue as 15-20 means you need to wait without any hut to stand. But normal days no issues. The statue of Lord shani looks incredible as you can see three eyes on him, describing the three eyes of lord shiva, vishnu, brahma(Lord shani is the first to be created by all of their traits) that makes him the powerful god and top of all navagrahas. He's known for providing justice, good for good, bad for bad. Formally known as the Lord of Karma (to know more about Lord shani try watching SANGADAM THREEKUM SHANEESWARAN in voot app, worth watching). There's token for archana, other special prayers. Hope you got very good...

Journey date : 26 Oct 2021.

We had plans for a very long time to visit this temple, felt so happy that it was coming true in this wonderful trip which happened just like that. No wonder they say, you can visit any temple, only if "HE" wants you to come and not if you want to go. hmmm

After having a wonderful darshan in Poola Nandheswara, we came to this temple.

As we entered the temple complex, was kind of shocked because this is not like the normal temples that we had visited. Temple Sanctum Sanctorum is small, and the rest of the temple is a open big hall or mandapam. Yet there is so much said and written about this temple. It is also considered equivalent to the Thirunallar saneeswararn temple.

Even the sanctum sanctorum is so different compared to your normal temples. Here there is no lingam, there is a small beautiful stone in a egg shape, which is considered to be Lord Saneeswararn and Lord Shiva together. Was kind of surprised excited to see such a temple and which is considered to be very powerful.

The priest did a wonderful aarthi darshan and honestly am not sure, i prayed here, because one i could not believe i am in this temple, two so many things were going on, which i was trying to absorb, so many things different, construction wise, prayer wise, which got me so curious and interested.

A small canal runs infront of the temple, for devotees who want to do major poojas, to bath and enter the temple.

Parking for cars is there, but am not sure if it can handle in rush times.

We were very happy that we were able to visit and pray here, we also made up our mind that we will come back to this temple once again and we hope that he gives us permission to come back.

Since our focus were on the things happening around us, we didnt focus on taking pictures, also the pics that we took were not that explanatory.

Wonderful...
