Visited on 6th April 2024. As it is saturday little bit crowded but be there on around 10 t0 11am to avoid over crowd. Waterflow is decent for this heavy summer condition. Family Friendly. Can spend a half day there with kids n family. Not recommended for bachelors on summer due to less water family occupies more space and others supposed to wait. Take Home made Lunch with you. After refreshing bath make a halt on Mango Gardens on the way to Falls and have your lunch. Entry fee 20 and Battery car available for 30rs or else need to walk 500mtrs to reach falls from parking entrance. Paid RO Machine Available Near Falls area, you can get pure water for 2rs/litre. Try கம்மங்கூழ் and சர்பத் in parking area. Worth after refreshing bath.

This waterfall is closed for public most of the days and especially during monsoon. So call the forest department before traveling. We once reached there and the checkpost was closed. The tea shop person was kind enough to point us towards a path next to the tea shop that took us to the flowing water. Anyone can get their foot wet here from the water flowing down from the waterfall. ANY WATERFALL FOR THAT MATTER, ALWAYS STAY SAFE AND BE A PART OF THE CROWD AND DO NOT GET LOST.

I recently visited Kumbakarai Falls, and I was absolutely blown away by its beauty. The falls are located in the foothills of the Kodaikanal Hills, and they are absolutely stunning. The water cascades down the rocks in a series of beautiful waterfalls, and the surrounding scenery is simply breathtaking.

I visited the falls during the monsoon season, and the water was flowing at its fullest. The falls were absolutely roaring, and the sound of the water was deafening. It was an incredibly powerful and invigorating experience.

The falls are located a short drive from Periyakulam, and they are easily accessible by car. There is a small parking lot at the top of the falls, and there is a short walk to the viewing area. The viewing area is well-maintained, and there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view.

I highly recommend visiting Kumbakarai Falls if you are ever in the area. It is a truly magical place, and it is an experience that you will never forget.

Here are some of the things I liked about Kumbakarai Falls:

The beauty of the falls is simply breathtaking. The sound of the water is deafening and invigorating. The falls are easily accessible by car. The viewing area is well-maintained. Here are some of the things I didn't like about Kumbakarai Falls:

The falls can be crowded during peak season. There are no facilities at the falls, so you will need to bring your own food and water. The falls can be slippery, so be careful when walking around. Overall, I had a great experience at Kumbakarai Falls. It is a truly magical place, and it is an experience that you will...

The Kumbakkarai Falls is a scenic, peaceful and pleasant waterfall that can be found in the state of Tamil Nadu, in Dindigul district. The district of Dindigul is about 9 kilometres away from the town of Periyakulam, which is a municipality in Theni district in the region of Madurai.

Located in the foothills of the Kodaikanal Hills, the Kumbakkarai Falls is one amongst the many well-known Falls in the same region. The water of this waterfall originates in the Kodaikanal Hills and flows down the rocks in two natural stages.

In the first stage, the water collects in the deep cradles of a wide rock, then flows down a stretch of 0.5 km in the form of the Pambar River, before it drops down into a breathtaking waterfall over a steep rock face. The pools formed by the river in the first stages of the waterfall are named after various wild animals such as elephants, lions, tigers, snakes, etc.

Kumbakkarai is the spot where the water of the river drops at the foothills of the Kodaikanal Hills. This area in the foothills has become a popular tourist spot now, as people visit this place from all over the country to take in its natural, scenic beauty. The peace and tranquillity of this place, along with a soothing expanse of undisturbed nature makes it the perfect getaway for city-dwellers.

Tourists are also allowed to bathe in the waters of the Kumbakkarai Falls. The crystal-clear water of the Falls is enriched with natural minerals and herbs which has incredibly therapeutic...

This is one of a underrated waterfalls in south. Not many aware of it. It's located between Madurai and Theni, 2 nearby known cities. It is much recommended to go by individual car. If got to rely upon Govt transport, you shall get bus from both Madurai and Theni but the frequency may be less. Got decent amount of car parking space. Entry ticket has to be taken. It is managed by Reserve Forest Police. The entry Fare is around 20 INR per person. You got to walk for about 500 to 750 m to reach the falls. The road will be slightly uphill to some distance and then will be downhill. Battery car service is there but not sure if there are any timings. When we went there it wasn't operational for most of the timing. About the water falls, you got 2 set of points. 1 the real falls which is bit small in size but gives you Good experience. Got steps to reach there. The other one is a flat area where you can sit in the water and enjoy. Both the places were good. There is a separate space for changing dresses. Shops are there to eat snacks or food. Overall, it is a recommendable place to enjoy for a day!

PS: Be check that there's water flow & entry allowed when you plan the travel. There's a high chance that either of it shall happen on...
