Ocean spray beach — Attraction in Tamil Nadu

Lovely property but dated. The property is on ECR and convenient to access. They have a back gate through which one can access the beach in 5 mins (walk). The beach is lovely too. The staff is excellent. Very helpful and always available to assist. If you request for a buggy to take you to the room, the team jumps in to help. They will also assist anyone on the way with a drop. The breakfast on day 1 and also dinner on both days were good. However, the second day’s breakfast was a little disappointing. Also, the staff seemed to be missing on day 1 and so when I ordered dosas, the chef made them and left them at the counter with us ending up getting cold dosas. The swimming pool is huge and is absolutely gorgeous. We spent a lot of time there. Again, while the rule states that only people in nylons are allowed into the pool, we saw people jumping in whatever clothes they were in. They need to get a little stricter. No lights in the swimming pool. All the wires are open next to the stools inside the pool which also seem to be the lights. The place is designed around a water body and every cottage overlooks this water body. Unfortunately, there’s moss and the water body doesn’t seem to have been cleaned for months. This also means tons of mosquitoes and we had to request for an extra mosquito repellent. A great resort. We staued for 3 days this summer. Reached late at night, the checkin was fast, although we didn't get any welcome drink which I saw being served to some guest in the morning. We booked the one of the 4 available large condo with two rooms and a balcony & open to sky shower. The resort is very secure and they have security personnel posted for night watch. The central pool is great and the surrounding lake has geese. Its wonder why the geese don't get into the swimming pool. The activity include plenty of indoor and out door activity to keep all age groups very busy. Please do take play things for swimming pool. The breakfast was good but the same fare daily. We had one lunch and dinner a la carte. It was very well prepared and tasty. Overall a very satisfying place to stay. Beach close to Ocean spray resort approx 400 meters. Public beach mostly occupied by fishermen as this place is good for fishing . Separate gate at the back of resort to reach the beach. Timings 6am-7pm. Somewhat clean beach.During that period its safe beyond which its not advised to stay as some drunkards used to relax here. Beach is very steep not suitable for swimming.
