Had a wonderful experience here. Good place for a short day out from city life. Good feel to get in to forest area. Road is too narrow, steep and few hairpin bends. So it is not at all recommended for new drivers. If you just learnt to drive car recently please avoid this hill drive.

From city it took almost one hour and 15 minutes to reach the temple by car. Don't stop or park your car anywhere in the narrow road to take pictures because it I'll be difficult to drive for other drivers since the road is really narrow and also there are chances to encounter wild cats like leopard or cheeta. While traveling in the road we saw fresh elephant dang which means elephants are wandering in roads even in daytime. So be careful always since it is completely a forest.

This hill is really very scenic place to take photos. We really Enjoyed being with nature. While going top of the hill first visit poongothai Thayar sannathi. Road to this temple is off road so better drive carefully. Most suvs can go easily and little more difficult for other low ground clearance cars but it is manageable if you drive slowly.

On top of the hill Aranganathar temple is there. Peaceful atmosphere blended with nature. Temple is very neat and clean. Well maintained. Free Lunch is available everyday by temple management. Near temple walk through off road to witness the view point and also there are some standing alone big tress are there where we can sit and relax for sometime by watching the mountain view.

There is a temple pond near this temple which is 500 MTRs walkable. Way to pond is like trekking inside forest feel. Do not miss this spot. Also there a Siddhar temple while going to the pond where we can meditate for sometime. Siddhar temple is very peaceful and relaxing to meditate.

Lot of cows are around this temple so better bring some banana to feed the cows. Overall we had a wonderful day trip. Must visit place. Good spot for a one day...

Palamalai Aranganathar Temple is divine place to workship God Vishnu which this temple is believed to be more than 300 years old.

A scenic place Located in the top of a hill, an excellent Temple with main deity , Moolavar Shri Ranganathar. The temple is so beautiful and maintained cleanly, the temple opens at 5.00 am in the morning and closes by 8.00 pm.Adequate space is created around the temple to facilitate car festival and movement of devotees during festival times. The main significance of this temple is those who are facing the impact of some curses pray for relief here.

Have to be watchful after 6.00pm , due to elephants and other wild animals may reach out to the roads of the foot hills.

Teppa kulam was bit a thrilling trekking experience located in the near by forest area, covering a small distance in a no man's land.

Siddar Samadhi and Sri Guru Krishnananda Swami Sannithi have good vibration, where one can feel the positive energy, you can also do meditation in the meditation hall situated behind the Swami Sannithi

To Reach this temple, you can drive in or take a cab from Ukkadam its 31 Kms, from Gandhipuram its 27 Kms and from Periyanaickenpalayam (LMW Bus Stop) its 12 Kms, Small Bus is available to Kovanoor and Palamalai on specific timings. You have to come across 6 steep hair-pin bends to reach this Palamalai Hills.

We have visited this temple on saraswathi pooja. Good annadanam was offered and it is said it is offered daily to everyone...

Overall it was a wonderful divine experience...

Nicely renovated temple with good flooring in palamali hilltop. There in only one govenment bus coming from ooty will be available at around 6:30am in Periyanaiken Palayam bus stand and reaches temple in 20 to 30 minutes. Then the bus stops for just 15 to 30 minutes and you have to quickly complete the darshan and board the same bus to return to Periyanaiken Palayam bus stand. The temple is small so you can easily complete the darshan. Please inform the bus conductor about your return so that he can horn alert minutes before starting the bus for return journey. The bus fare is just 8 rupees one way.You can also reach temple in private vehicles like bike and car but many times the narrow road is riddled with pot holes and hair pin bends of the mountain are steeper so please be careful while driving private vehicles. The road might be freshly laid just before the start of Tamil month chitirai for Chitra pournami or full moon festival. The Tamil month of chitirai is considered as start of Tamil new year and it is on April 14. There is also rented jeep service which will be available only where there is sufficient passengers available for all seats.During the Chitra pournami festival buses will be available through the day at the interval of around 90 to 120 minutes as the same bus...

One of the best place to visit in coimbatore and the Temple which is located in the Mountain and The Road which is used for Transporting to the temple was very narrow to drive and Need Experience to drive In that way. Experienced persons can only able to Drive in it so be safe and carefull while driving. Maximum use 2nd gear for climbing on that hills because it was very narrow and slope while comparing to ooty so need experience and skill to drive in it . No fee was collected for parking and there is lot of parking space available. For transportation jeep and bus have been arrenged . For jeep they have charged 40 rupees for each if you want you can access it and Daily they will provide free food to people as annadhanam so try that and You can relax there to get some peace. More than 15 Cows are there so if you can you can bring some bananas to feed the animals. Kindly maintain and keep the place clean Have a Safe Journey
