This dam is damn beautiful as it is located at the base of the Kodaikanal mountains. It's a must visit place for Nature/Mountain lovers and as it offers some stunning views of the gigantic mountains.
Try to travel by your own vehicle, preferably in the morning or evening (before sunset) hours to enjoy the scenery around the place. Try exploring the entire dam area right from the Palaru end (left) puranthalaru and shanmuga river end (right).
Carry water and edibles if you plan to spend more time and explore the long stretch of the dam area. If you are a photographer, then this place will definitely consume your memory card.
Please do not litter, and follow eco-friendly practices. The dam park deserves better care & treatment by the Govt and so that it can attract more visitors...
