My name us vedha and my sister is vijaya thyagarajan we visited sikkal temple darshan was very peaceful and wo derful.we met one Archana by name arun who told us about doing Archana and pooja during krithikai which was on May 8th both me and my sister paid around 2000 rs to mr.arun he took down our address name,star, gothram and promised to send vibuthi prasadam.but till today nothing.so my request to gullible devotees is plz donot give money for Archana or special poojas etc.iif you want peace of mind contribute at the time of darshan .all these priests donot keep up the promises.but our devotion will always be present within us.but our respect for these money collection is dwindling because of people like arun.his mom and dad have a shop selling Archana and murugan pictures.its a pity devotees are sympathetic towards beggars who were high on drugs at the entrance...

நாகை மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள சிக்கல் என்ற கிராமத்தில் சிக்கல் நவநீதீீஸ்வரர் கோயில் அமைந்துள்ளது. திருவாரூரிலிருந்து 18 கி.மீ கிழக்கேயும், நாகப்பட்டினத்திலிருந்து 5 கி.மீ மேற்கேயும் அமைந்துள்ளது. கோயிலின் ஒரு வளாகத்தில் நவநீதீஸ்வரர் சன்னதியும், வள்ளி, தெய்வானையுடன் கூடிய முருகன் சன்னதியும், மற்றொரு வளாகத்தில் விஷ்ணுவின் சன்னதியும் அமைந்துள்ளது. நாரயணரும் சிவபெருமானும் இனைந்து இருக்ககூடிய திருத்தலங்களிள் இதுவும் ஒன்று. தல வரலாறு: புராணகாலத்தில் மல்லிகைவனம் என்று அழைக்கப்பட்ட இத்தலத்தில் வசிஷ்டமுனிவர் ஆசிரமம் அமைத்து இத்தலத்து சிவபெருமானை வழிபட்டுவந்தார். தேவலோகத்துப் பசுவான காமதேனு பஞ்சம் ஏற்பட்ட அக்காலகட்டத்தில் தான் மாமிசம் புசித்த பிழையின் காரணமாக சாபம் பெற்று இத்தலத்திற்கு வந்தது. ஆலயத்தில் பாற்குளம் என்றும் க்ஷீரபுஷ்கரணி என்றும் சொல்லப்படும் தீர்த்தத்தில் தன் பாவம் தீர நீராடியது. காமதேனு குளித்தபோது அதனுடைய பால் பெருகி குளம் முழுக்கப் பாலாக மாறியது. அங்கு வந்த வசிஷ்டமுனிவர் பால் குளத்தைப் பார்த்து அதில் இருந்து வெண்ணையை எடுத்து சிவலிங்கமாக்கி அதற்கு பூஜை செய்தார். பூஜையை முடித்த பின் அந்த சிவலிங்கத்தை வேறு இடத்தில் வைக்க எண்ணி அதை எடுக்க முயன்றார் அது எடுக்க முடியவில்லை, இதனாலேயே இத்தலம் சிக்கல் என்ற பெயருடன் விளங்குகிறது, வசிஷ்டமுனிவர் வெண்ணையை எடுத்து பூஜை செய்ததால் இத்தல இறைவன் வெண்ணெய்நாதர் ஆனார். தேவர்கள், சூரபத்மனிடமிருந்து தங்களை காக்க முருகப்பெருமானிடம் வேண்டிக்கொண்டனர். இதனால் முருகப்பெருமான் சூரனை அழித்து தேவர்களை காத்தார். இக்கோவிலில் சன்னதி கொண்டுள்ள வேல்நெடுங்கன்னி அம்மனிடம் சக்தி வேல் வாங்கிச்சென்ற முருகன் திருச்செந்தூரில் சூரனை சம்ஹாரம் செய்ததாக கந்தபுராணம் கூறுகிறது. அன்னையிடம் சக்தி வேல் வாங்கும் போது இன்றைக்கும் முருகனுக்கு வியர்க்கிறது என்பது அதிசயம். இந்தக் கோயிலில் முருகப் பெருமான் அம்மை அப்பருக்கு நடுவில் வீற்றிருந்து அருள்புரிகிறார். அதனால், சிங்காரவேலர் குழந்தைவரம் அருள்பவராக வீற்றிருக்கிறார். அம்மன் தன் சக்தியை வேலாக வழங்கிய இத்தல முருகனுக்கு அர்ச்சனை செய்து தரிசித்தால் சிக்கல்கள் யாவும் நீங்கிவிடும், எதிரிகள் தொந்தரவு விலகி நலம் விளையும்...
