No one there even knows what will happen next how many more adobe are structures going to be raised there, and plans are to be executed. These all happens with instruction from Bhairava through Shri Bhairava Siddhantham Swamy. On instruction from Bhairava he walked twelve days from a place called Nagercoil in Southern India to this place and with the help of locals and devotees started this.
It is said to be that devotees pray to Bhairav there make wishes with raw rice. Their wishes said to be fulfilled in 27 days , then they come back and give a hand full of the same rice for annadhanam. The significance of giving handfull rice is vaik karisi(a the ritual done for the dead).Swamy says that as one cannot determine time of death, when and how , and what kind of Bhairavi yatna (suffering) one may undergo at death. To avoid suffering and to have peaceful end one can donate vaik karisi during their life time in this temple.Therice donated is used for annadhanam. One can bring a hand full rice during their visit. Read moreRoute: Can reach through Mahindra City. Roads are good, and good enough for 4 wheeler including buses. In-between Mahindra city and the temple, you will encounter a village which is also well connected with newly laid road. There is an alternate route through Chengalpattu-Thiruporur which is a bit tricky.
Facilities: It has ample parking space which can accommodate at-least 50 buses. Washroom facility was provided separately outside the temple at one corner of the parking. A proper tea shop (with Kinley water bottles, snacks such as Lays chips, Britannia, Sunfeast biscuits, etc) is present outside the temple besides Annadhanam hall. Temple is very well maintained. Neat and organised. The people were polite and service-minded.
Offerings: Rituals and practices are unique and a little different in this temple. The procedures will be explained by the volunteer person who was seated near every ritual point. This temple has specific way to offer rice grains to Bhairavar, upon which the prayers will be answered in few weeks as a promise. I saw that constructions are being carried out to improve the facilities. So one can donate to specific activity also I guess (Please inquire the volunteer person near the "Thiruvodu Tree" regarding donations). Apart from rice and money donations, I'm not sure if the temple accepts other means such as abhishekam for God or presenting fruits, garland, etc.
Misc: Outside the temple one can find lots of monkeys (mostly in the evening hours), few ducks, cows and dogs, which were friendly too. Please feel free to offer them biscuit, tomato, banana or whatever that they eat.
Personally I felt it was a very pleasant place to spend an evening amidst...
