I visited this temple on April 7, 2024. The temple is conveniently located near the bus stand. However, if you arrive with a vehicle such as a car, minibus, Tata Ace, or any other four-wheeler, they will charge an entry fee of 50 to 100₹. Unfortunately, they do not provide parking facilities and not issue a bill for the fee.

Parking becomes a significant issue during weekends when private parking lots charge exorbitant fees ranging from 500 to 800₹.

Another issue is with the practice of tonsuring. Many smugglers blend in with the crowd and persuade devotees to tonsure their heads, selling the hair for prices ranging from 2000₹ to 4000₹. Additionally, they charge 10₹ for bathroom access. The area where tonsuring takes place inside the temple is overcrowded, but it is a must if you wish to participate.

If you bring offerings like a rooster or goat, they charge 100₹ and 200₹ respectively just for the cutting. An extra 100₹ is demanded for cleaning the chicken.

While free darshan may take 3 to 4 hours, paying 300₹ per person ensures a quick glimpse of the deity within 10 minutes. It seems money talks louder than devotion.

For performing archana, the temple staff demands 200₹, but they may refuse if you offer less. Even a single lemon can cost between 10 and 50₹.

Facilities like stoves and bathrooms are notably lacking, and the cost of a bundle of stove sticks is 50₹.

It appears that there may be significant corruption involving the temple staff and the Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Department.

It's disheartening to see spirituality mixed with commercialism. We hope for better administration and reverence for the sacredness of religious practices at places like Melmalayanur Angalamman Temple.

Worst management. Only money minded. It's like God is jailed and jailer's , security threatening and taking money from visitor.

Worst fact is they are collecting 100 Rs while entering the township and giving fake bills named Cunga Vari (Custom tax). Full of drunken monkey Gundas.

Once you reach temple, parking person will collect another 100 Rs. The place where hygienic got cruelly killed. Better if you have cold but if your smelling sense works good, sorry.

External people vehicle won't be allowed before 500 meters of temple, we need to walk and surprisingly you will see Indian Dominic Toretto's riding share autos. They won't care about rules , humans , police etc.,

Once you reach temple, real cinema starts. Peoples with plastic covers with lemon and starts rotating their hands and ask has to crush it with our foot, if you do that, that's it , not your sins , just money from your pocket. Pls ignore those peoples.

Now, things starts inside of temple. Photo sharing: Some people will start to give godess photo with smile. How beautiful right! Then same will happen like before, but we can ignore those. No issue.

And each and evrything will be money , money , money.

This things are very hard to see because people are coming to temple to praise the God and share their feelings and get some positive vibe. But it will never happen with this temple just because of management and people around the temple.
