Mela thirupathi ....True to its character
I had prayer to tonsure and preferred Mondipalayam. Travel to Thirupathi is surely not preferred due to pandamic and dharshan ticketing. ( As news says sale of 2 lakh plus tickets in 30 minutes or so). In addition, the sthala puranam for this temple ( depicted in granite in the temple. praharam) is very rich.
Maintanence is immaculate. Staff aren't greedy too.
Coming to tonsure....There is a permanent barber ( name, mobile number displayed in a small board near the teppakulam at the east of the temple). He has simple blade...If particular one can give single use blade!. Nothing much to be dis satisfied. One can pay Rs 50 or100 per head. Work ok.
Bathing is tough now as the bathing room inside temple compound is kept shut for the time being. Water is a plenty. Temple management shall add one cubicle at the toilet complex for bathing.
Otherwise the temple is very much well presented and we can feel happiness at the end...

The most divine and famous perumal temple in this locality. Very good and neatly maintained temple. Very much crowded durin Puratasi month where the wait time extends more than 2 hrs for the darshan. Very powerfull god.. good time to visit this temple is on puratasi month it is the festive month so the vibe will be different and crowded.. archana ticket and other special darshans and pooja tickets available in the counters. One request to the temple management people is do not give special treatment to VIPs coimg here on crowded days as more than 100 to 200 ppls left waiting in the queue for more than 30mts just for 5 persons to worship.. those 100 to 200 ppls brought darshan tickets costing 10rs to 100rs and you guys allowing VIP's who hasent even bought 10rs ticket.. kindly change this attitude and try to treat all in...
