The temples for these three sakthis are located in Chennai. It is considered auspicious to get darshan of all three sakthis one after the other on the same day, especially on a full moon day & if possible on a full moon day which falls on a Friday. The form of the Devi in all three temples are identical. Thiruvudai Amman - Ichchaa Sakthi (the devi who will fulfill devotees wishes). Special prayers are to offered to this Devi by offering yellow saree & mangoes for neivaedea The temple is located in Meloor (since there is a Melur down south, this place is also known as North Meloor). Nearby locations are Nandiambakkam, Minjur. Sthala Puraanam This place was once a forest with filled with trees & shrubs with sweet smelling flowers and was known as Suganda Vanam (Suganda-indicating sweet smelling, vanam-forest). The people from neighbouring villages found a grazing cow showering its milk into a shrub. They found a Lingam (Svayambu - self formed) within the shrub. They worshipped the Lord as Sungandavaneswaran. In due course the name changed to Thirumanangeesar, a tamil name. There are sannadhis for Appar, Sundarar, Manickavasagar, Suryan, Bariravar,...

Rating: ★★★★★ A Majestic and Spiritually Enriching Experience

Visiting the Thirumanangeeswarar – Thiruvudai Amman Temple in Melur, Minjur was one of the most peaceful and divine experiences I’ve had. The moment we stepped in, we were struck by the calmness of the atmosphere and the grandeur of the temple’s architecture. The beautifully carved gopuram looked absolutely royal under the night lights, leaving us in complete awe.

One thing that stood out was the presence of multiple deities in a single sacred space, which is rare and made the experience feel even more spiritually fulfilling. Every corner of the temple reflected tradition, devotion, and a sense of connection with the divine.

This place has a unique aura that draws you in, and honestly, we left with the feeling that we’d want to come back again and again. Whether you’re seeking blessings, peace of mind, or simply wish to admire ancient architecture — this temple is a must-visit.

Highly recommended for both locals and visitors exploring spiritual landmarks...

I visited the Thirumanangeeswarar – Thiruvudai Amman Temple after going to the Minjur Ekambaranathar Temple. It was a peaceful and divine experience. The temple also has a separate shrine for Lord Sivan inside, which was really nice and added to the spiritual vibe. The presence of Thiruvudai Amman, one of the powerful Sakthi Peetams near Chennai, makes it a special place to visit. However, one small downside was that someone was collecting ₹30 as parking charges for cars, even though the area outside the temple was completely empty — it felt unnecessary. Still, the overall visit was calm and spiritually fulfilling.
