Veerappur Mahamuni Temple — Attraction in Tamil Nadu

Worst temple I have ever seen... priests are robbing machines here...first they have a small girl who voluntarily keeps kumkum in our forehead to collect rs. 50...then the pujari catches our hand and keeps in Mahamuni legs and asks us to repeat what they say...they will ask us to promise that we will pay rs. 1000 for our family health..so most of us think if we don't pay then our family won't be healthy...this is forcing devotee's to pay pujari's...they even divide family member and take them saperately for dividing the money from same family into 2..there are around 5 temple compounds so you will lose 2500 in this jeopardy as a person...not sure why govt isn't taking control over temples which maintained by non bramins...the animal sacrifice is also totally unnecessary I think as eventhough I am a believer however spilling the blood of innocent animal will only make the deity more angry...

Totally unfair about this temple.. As we saw this temple.. The priest, people are totally money minded persons.. If you still want to go temple please go with full of money. They will call you separately and ask you to tell what they say(as promise) then they will ask you to pay 1000 to 10000rs as per the way you look. There is a big group which robs every thing over there.. Be careful.. Government has to visit once and take action.. It's so annoying.. We never saw such a people's before.. My opinion please visit another mahamuni temple. With out star I can't post this message, so am...

This temple doesn't deserve an rating at all... The so called priests working there are all about minting money. They lack all the characteristics of a priest. It would only develop if the government takes control of the temple!!! I only visit the place because it's our "kula deivam"(family deity)... If you want to visit the temple and take a look at the gods and goddesses, well then have a pocket...
