Bogatha Waterfalls in Jayashankar Bhupalpally District.

Bogatha Waterfalls is one of the famous tourist sites in Jayashankar (Bhupalpally) District. Passing the amazing Zumo Rock, this impressive waterfall is situated near Chikupally Village in Wajedu Mandal of Jayashankar (Bhupalpally) District in Telangana. It is also known as Chikupally Falls. At a distance of 30 km from Eturnagaram, 130 km from Warangal.

A beautiful waterfall in the dense Forest. Which is 30 meters tall with a span of upto 200 meters across, dependent on the season. There are several streams of water crashing over the cliff face, however during the height of rainy season the whole cliff face is engulfed by a formidable curtain of white water.

Dropping from a height of over 30 feet in several parallel streams, the water is collected into a large pool at the bottom of the falls. Swimming in the pool is a favorite activity here. In the raining season the whole cliff is covered with water so that the disparity of the streams that makeup the fall is not noticeable. To get close to the waterfall in this season takes more than holding one’s breathe.

The merging of the fury sun and the fall gives the viewer an astonishing sight of flowing fireworks . As well as being an area of outstanding natural beauty the area surrounding Bogatha Waterfall is also a fantastic place for bird watching. One should appreciate the hand of God by visiting Bogatha Waterfalls taking a motionless stare at the sloppy hills and its cliffs.

In order to reach the falls from Eturnagaram, drive past Godavari Bridge and reach Chikupally village which is 11 km from New Godavari River bridge (Mullakatta Bridge) past Jagannathapuram village. From Chikupally, take right turn and drive for less than 500 meters and take a right turn again towards Bogatha Falls. The road from here runs through rocky terrain for about 1 km from where visitors need to walk for a distance of 500 meters to reach the falls.

There is a temple dedicated to Bogateshwara Swamy adjacent to Bogatha falls. The upper part of the falls can be reached from the temple.

Good time to visit Bogatha is monsoon between June & November. Everyone must carry their food and water because nearby waterfall s there is no restaurant to provide you the...

Bogatha Waterfall, often called the "Niagara of Telangana," is a hidden gem located in the Warangal district of Telangana, India. The waterfall is nestled within a lush forest, making it a perfect retreat for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Bogatha Waterfall is a majestic sight, with water cascading down from a height of approximately 30 feet. The waterfall spreads wide across a rocky backdrop, creating a picturesque scene that is both soothing and invigorating. The surrounding forest is dense and vibrant, with rich greenery that complements the pristine blue waters of the falls.

The approach to Bogatha is scenic, with narrow trails cutting through the woods, adding an element of adventure to the journey. The final reveal of the waterfall, after the trek, is truly rewarding.

The sound of the water crashing down the rocks is powerful yet calming, filling the air with a rhythmic roar that drowns out all other noise. The atmosphere around the waterfall is serene, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

For those who enjoy outdoor activities, Bogatha Waterfall offers opportunities for swimming in the cool, refreshing pool at the base of the falls. The area is also ideal for photography, with numerous vantage points that capture the waterfall in all its glory. Picnic spots are plentiful, allowing visitors to relax and enjoy the natural beauty at their own pace.

The best time to visit Bogatha Waterfall is during or just after the monsoon season (June to September), when the water flow is at its peak. Early mornings or late afternoons provide the best light for photography and a quieter experience.

There are basic amenities available near the waterfall, such as parking and small shops selling snacks and drinks. However, facilities like restrooms are limited, so it’s advisable to come prepared.

Bogatha Waterfall is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the raw beauty of nature in Telangana. Its scenic charm, combined with the tranquil environment, makes it a perfect getaway for both relaxation and adventure. Despite the minor challenges in reaching it, the experience is well worth the effort. I would highly recommend it to anyone...

Bogatha Waterfalls, Telangana: Simply Majestic

Our recent trip to Bogatha Waterfalls was nothing short of refreshing and memorable. The journey itself set the tone for the day, with well-maintained roads making the drive smooth and enjoyable. Surrounded by greenery and serene landscapes, the approach to the waterfall is truly scenic.

The waterfall area is impressively well-maintained and remarkably litter-free, which adds to the natural charm of the place. A special mention goes to the thoughtfully built pool at the base of the waterfall. This pool allows tourists to take a dip in the pristine, crystal-clear water while safely experiencing the cool splash of the cascading falls. It enhances the overall experience and provides a perfect spot to relax against the backdrop of the mighty falls.

However, one area that needs attention is the parking facility. The space is limited and could be better organized to accommodate the increasing number of visitors. It would be ideal if the forest department could look into upgrading and expanding the parking arrangements, as it will significantly improve convenience for tourists.

The best time to visit Bogatha Waterfalls is during the monsoon season, particularly between July and September, when the falls are at their majestic best. The gushing water combined with the lush greenery makes it an unforgettable sight. As for travel, the best mode of transport is undoubtedly one’s own vehicle. The waterfall is located slightly off the main routes, and public transport options are limited. Having your own transport not only makes the journey flexible but also allows you to enjoy the scenic drive at your own pace.

Overall: Bogatha Waterfalls is a must-visit destination for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and families alike. With its clean surroundings, inviting pool, and breathtaking views, it offers the perfect escape into nature. With slight improvements in parking facilities, it has the potential to become one of the most tourist-friendly destinations...
