At the time of the fall of Lanka, the deities came in the dream of queen Mandodari, where the queen in the dream had to give this statue to the sea. She did the same, where this statue started to be worshiped by the sea gods. After spending eleven lakh eighty thousand years, the secrets of Kalyan Nagar of Kannada country Shri Shankar got this statue from Goddess in Vikram Samwat 680, who got it reputed by constructing the temple. The statue was of Shree Markatmani, but for a long time, due to the salt water of the sea, it has become hard. From time to time, it has been revived. The sight of such a statue is very rare elsewhere. Every year the fair fills from Chaitra Shud 13 to the full moon. The presiding deity is miraculous. Sometimes there is a sound of ghungroos in the night. Here the art of the lord idols is very unique. There are a total of 15 ancient idols.
