Temple is situated in Mumbra Hills. Temple open from 7am-7pm. There is no parking space available at start of temple steps.....so better visit through local transport. Start your journey accordingly so that you reach before 5pm near the start of temple steps. It takes approximately 25 to 45 mins to climb up depending upon person to person. Be careful while climbing up and coming down since there are no proper stairs only stones you may get yourself injured. You will be gasping for breath while going up as the steps are steep. Before starting take snacks or water along if required, from the store below. Dont litter as there are dustbins available on the way. There are 745 steps as said by pujari of the temple. Climb slowly and take breaks while going up and coming down. Take special precautions while coming down the steps are steep and chances of falling down are high. You may feel tempted to rush down but it is dangerous. Many suggests monsoon is best time to visit as the view is full of greenery but mind you it is the most dangerous time as the steps or stones whatever you call, become slippery due to rains. I would not prefer to go during monsoon though the view from the top is beautiful. Temple repairs and steps building have been started in March 2018 but will take time to complete. Beware of insects and snakes while climbing...I spotted one passing into the jungle through steps....though it was a small one. Visiting late in the evening can be troublesome as mosquitoes are a big problem....also flies. Plan accordingly that you come down after visitng temple before sunset. There no such guards who will stop you from entering temple......even late visitors are given darshan but better to come down before sunset. The view from the top is simply superb which you can enjoy more during daytime. Dont go in the afternoon too hectic and hot to climb up. Early morning or late evening are the...

Nice temple as expected. The Mumbra Devi Temple, located in the city of Thane, Maharashtra, is a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Mumbadevi, the presiding deity of the region. This ancient temple holds immense cultural and religious significance for the local population and attracts devotees from far and wide.

Nestled amidst the bustling cityscape, the Mumbra Devi Temple stands as a serene oasis of spirituality. Its architectural style is a harmonious blend of traditional Hindu elements and local influences. The temple complex features intricate carvings, vibrant sculptures, and ornate gopurams (gateways) that showcase the exquisite craftsmanship of the artisans who built it.

The main shrine houses the revered idol of Goddess Mumbadevi, a manifestation of the divine feminine energy. The atmosphere within the temple is suffused with a sense of tranquility, as devotees offer their prayers and seek blessings from the benevolent deity. Regular pujas (rituals) and festivals are celebrated here with great fervor, drawing crowds of worshippers from all walks of life.

Beyond its spiritual significance, the Mumbra Devi Temple serves as a cultural hub, preserving and promoting the rich heritage of the region. It plays a vital role in fostering a sense of community, unity, and pride among the locals. Mumbra Devi Temple is located atop the Parsik Hill and is just a short 5-minute walk from Mumbra railway station. To reach the temple, you’ll need to climb around 750 to 800 steps, which typically takes about 25–30 minutes depending on your pace. Benches are placed along the way so you can take breaks as needed.

Once you reach the top, the breathtaking view and peaceful atmosphere inside the temple make the climb truly worth it. Drinking water is available at the top, and the area is generally clean and well-maintained.

If you're driving, you can take the Mumbra Bypass road, but please note that there’s no official or paid parking. You’ll need to park your vehicle at your own risk.

For offerings like flowers and sweets, it’s better to purchase them near the base of the hill, as prices are higher at the top due to the effort vendors take to carry items uphill — which is quite understandable.

The temple gets crowded during Navratri, so plan accordingly if you’re visiting during that time. Government-maintained washroom facilities are available and kept clean.

Aarti Timings: Morning Aarti: 11:00 AM Evening Aarti: 6:00 PM

If you wish to attend the Aarti, plan your visit around these timings.

Important Tip: If you're using Google Maps for walking directions, avoid the long route shown. Instead, exit the station towards the CSMT side, cross the road, and ask any local for directions to "Mumbra Devi Pravesh Dwar" — people are helpful and will guide you correctly.

I'll attach photos for reference. If you found this review helpful, please show...
